The battery would be cheaper (by a bit) try a new heavy duty battery first & see how you go.

Silver mk2 vees are very rare. Blue mk2's are the most common.

Mike@rentech has done it. Finding the top dash bit second hand is a bit of a mission, you could always buy it new, but it will probably cost a fair bit.
