I got a yellow disklok from costco years ago for £40.00 they still do them, for the same price but they only stock silver now - any visible deterrent like that will almost certainly make sure that the scumbags go else where.

You could get a heavy duty battery. My mate had a huge system years ago in his fiesta, he used to drive three miles a day in so it wasn't long enough to charge the battery, he got a heavy duty one & it was fine, he also used to give the car a good run to make sure that the battery was charged.

Thats a good quote the dude who i sold my valver to was also 19 & he was going to pay £1200 tpft. One thing with elephant is check the excess - they have a standard one because of your age, and you have the option to add voluntary to it, my excess was more than my insurance on my valver !!!!

get a thatcham cat 1 fitted to it mate, it will cost about £300.00 upwards though, go for one of the makes every ones heard of, clifford, cobra, toad etc. I think the standard factory fit cat 1 is a corba.

Tbh round speakers are better than 6x9's

Check the gear box oil, my valver used to do it until I changed the gearbox oil. It might not be that though.

yep, red flashing light by the gear stick, the red light on the dash is for the immobiliser, if it does have an alarm it will have an 'ultra sonic' sensor on the pillar either side of the windscreen (the sensors are small black square things which detect movement in the car)
