Yes, although for the rpm range most road cars work at I doubt the 4-2-1 will restrict top end but it will help mid range. That's why I'm tempted to change but are the gains worth it. Renault obviously thought it was worthwhile having spawned the 182 but how much of that is down to the manifold...
Well if flow is anything to go by there are significant improvements possible

On the Zetec engines I'm used to tuning I've had 12bhp increase at the wheels in back to back testing with 270deg and 10.8mm lift cams. The F4R runs a decent duration and lift so I'd...
Just run the sports cat and order the Yozza stealth then? ;)
I've got the twin barrel cat on my Ph1
BTW you confirmed on the phone that the stealth was 2.5" but is that 2.5" all the way through including the boxes and tailpipe?
Not too fussed about ease of changing the cat etc as I'll just get a sports cat but what I want to know is...
Is it worth fitting the 4-2-1 for power/torque gains?
With either the 4-1 or 4-2-1 I will fit a sports cat so which is best; the 4-1 with a sports cat or the 4-2-1 with a sports cat?
Why's that? It was replaced 10 months ago and its done 5k miles. The service interval is 5 years or 72k miles. Fair enough if its been on a couple of years....
I've got the same problem, sounds lovely and smooth from cold but once its warmed up it sounds like a really smooth diesel. Ok when I rev it up but warm idle just doesn't sound right and it's not the tappets.
I had my belts changed at Renault in April last year and its done about 5k since. Am I...
Until I go turbo I'm looking at getting a spare head ported and polished and get some spare cams reprofiled by Piper cams or get the Prima racing cams.
However I'm unsure of what remaps are available to go with the head and cams. Can you live map the Ecu?
The benefit of the 230 and 280 kits from Engine Dynamics is that the piggyback system allows you to retain all of the ECU controlled functions and the air conditioning.
My radiator looks a little sorry for itself so I was thinking of fitting one of these.

Anyone got one?
I like the DS2500 compound and used the pads on a few cars. They'll be going on the front of the Clio that's for sure but is it worth fitting them to the rear?
I was just about to order 4 x 195/50-R15 Yokohama AD08 at £72 each and noticed the same size Toyo R1-R for £58.50 each.
The R1-R are softer (faster wearing) 140 treadwear vs. 180 on the AD08. Not as fuel efficient G vs. F for the AD08 and the wet braking isn't as good C vs. A for the AD08.
But...
