easy as mate, pull of the centre bit where the badge is & there are allen screws undo those & it comes off, if you fit an after market one (momo etc) i think you will need a boss for it.
also the standard bus size one will fit back on after no probs.
Please note the mileage on this vehicle is subject to change as it is being used by a company director ... it all depends how stressed out he is, as to the abuse he gives the car & how far he travels doing it.
;)
sell yours first mate, as the dealer wont care about the work youve done to it, they will just see it as a K reg valver.
if you were to do a deal with them, they ought to give you the money & the car, not the other way around .
i got some gunk for mine, in a spray can, so i will see how that goes/
I also bought a new spark plug cover & im going to paint the rocker cover too (got a new gasket for it) as it looks poo at the min.
guess what ill be doing the weekend !
my mate had one put on his fiesta zetec s, for about 250.00
It was never as good as a standard one, if your car has a/c (as his did) personally i wouldnt bother putting one in.
Just get a car that has one already.
one thing i will say is always let it warm up before nailing it (if your going to)
I dont take mine over 3k until its warmed up & even then I dont thrash it.
i had a play against a mk2 172 in my standard 16v, he pulled quite considerably on me, till it hit the magic 4k mark then i began to pull, sadly i only got about 2 car lengths behind.
I also had a go against a mk1 172 (it had 17s on it & an oval magnex exhaust) off the lights there was sweet fa...
it saps it, as the cold air doesnt get into the engine, the k&n throws in warm air, it will sound nice, but be slower than the standard air box.
(some one more technical will be able to expalin it to you, but thats the general idea)
in the media section there are loads of valvers mate, personally i like the standard 5 spoke alloys.
It really does depent what your after, ie 5 spokes or multi spokes, also the colour of them too (silver or anthracite, or black maybe)
nice one mate & they didnt even knock you down !
bonus
(it goes with out saying, make sure that their cheque clears before you give it to them) as ive read some funny stories on here recently.
to be honest i very much doubt you will get 145 bhp from an exhaust & filter mate, also what filter is it ?
as normal k&ns sap power & do not add it !!
yes mate, they will as darth has said.
they dont fit on normal mk 1 clios though with out arch mods & eventhen it is a bit tight, obvously on a 16v & willy there is more arch space.
it will be monaco blue on an n reg, paint code 432 (if its an original renualt colour & not been respayed) it is a williams colour as well btw.
welcome mate, its nice to see another fellow valver owner on here !
you got any pics of it mate?
my mates got an s2000, its great once in the vtec kicks in, but low down just like any noramal car.
to be honest you cant beat the kick of a turbo, so id say the evo.
on my old fiesta, i had a CAT plate, i got hold of a vectra badge & re arranged the lettering so it said CAT, people used to point, i reckon i looked mint !!
the plate is worth more than that car !
the top one is an old dynamique one, from memory they replaced them last year with the bottom one, they are both 15in.
The bottom one is a small version of the mk2 172 alloy (theyre 16in)
i reckon you should still be able to get the top one, people are always selling them on here as well, or...
