It wasn't just about the vee you were moaning. You were simply moaning at peoples opinions.
I feel sorry for Mike he meant nothing by his comment other than his opinion and you went bitching to another forum which is also full of opinions.
No one is nasty to you on here Dawn.
Hope you get it sorted without any hassle mate, a lot of the time side on jobs can go 50/50 it really just depends if they play ball or not.
If you need any advice at all about the repair or the insurance don't hesitate to PM me.
It's in the accident management companies interest to chase...
Stupid is a bit harsh. Truth be told it'll look better with the carbon/black rather than Silver/Black.
At the end of the day it's up to you.
Remember who posted it on the internet looking for opinions thoughbefore you go all PMT.
Forgot someone had that.
I'd do a metallic gunmetal grey. Tungsten maybe? There is a stunning grey on the Ferrari 599 I love.
I love most dark grey colours.
Too undriveable sometimes? I've had more fun in the ek9's, mx-5's and the rs500 than any other cars.
The RS500 is easily the most driveable performance rwd car i've driven so far.
Tidy car mate. If you think DJ looks good on Silver have a google at the "Werkstat" range. Polished bliss sell it.
It's the only thing i'd use on a Silver car.
You shouldn't really need a da mate. The last thing you want to do is go back to bare metal as you then need to primer the area.
Purple one is the coarse one mate. I think they call them Red but they're Purple. Once you give it a rub down with that the paint is good for painting. It's "keyed"...
If you don't want it to flake it's all in the prep mate. Everything needs well keyed.
I suggest a red/purple scotchbrite pad make sure there is no shiny paint left and it'll be reet. Wipe down really well before painting.
To be honest mate just buy a basecoat black and don't lacquer it.
There's not really such a thing as satin paint. You can get matting agent but really any black basecoat paint will do fine. Not solid colour.
