I've just had Plusnet Fibre installed just past week. First time I've had it for myself. Was expecting to get in between 57 and 77 Mbps and currently I'm getting 64 Mbps. Received the router as normal and got the Fibre quicker than I requested it. Good customer service on the chat like. Think...
Went on Plusnet forum and got a couple responses, they don't come out as I only went for Broadband only not for phone as well.
Got my router yesterday and wait for more info when I can set up the router. See what speed I get then and then maybe call out an engineer and pay the call out charge
I'll have a good look at the links later on. Thanks fo the information.
To be honest I didn't notice a option to do Self Install or BT Engineer. If I did I would of opted the Engineer. Is their any way of sorting this bit out by going on their website or ringing up?
Myself and my family didn't sort out the wiring like. Could myself sort it out or needs to be done by an engineer? How would you clear things up, in simple terms ?
Well, I've ordered Unlimited Fibre Extra, Plusnet said that they don't send anyone out to the house. I spoke to a few people that had Plusnet and they had someone in, wasn't Plusnet like but s BT guy. I'm expecting it to start around the 5th September. If and when the engineer does arrive I'll...
Yeah the wiring is horrible in the house. That socket might be a good idea like.
Yeah there's 2 cordless phones in the house. One in my room, here's a pic of the socket
The other is in the living room downstairs here's a pic of the set up.
There's a phone which is non cordless in the dinning...
This I believe is the master socket in the dining room downstairs.
This is what's in the room upstairs next room to where I am and where the router is. The cable runs through the wall and outside and to the master socket.
There's wall sockets in another 2 rooms in the house and one with a...
I've scrapped the idea of having additional ethernet ports around the house. I've still got ADSL and looking to get the Fibre Extra in a month. At the minute the plan is for the master socket to stay down stairs in the dining room, to have the router upstairs still and have a cable running from...
Had a look inside and no cables to be seen for the gfx card. Does this mean I need to purchase additional cables or does the card come with the cables?
When I've looked at the card I'm buying on the website it looks like just a push in pci e- bus?
One of the many reasons why is that my new screen can do screen in screen and you could have 4 displays in each corner. So be canny if the card could handle something like that
I looked on NVidia website and can't find if it covers the 2560 x 1440 reso, just for my own peace of mind it's ok that's all.
I presume any 1050 no matter which model of the 1050 will be ok? I presume I'll be able to fit this myself and it'll be just a couple of wires and push it in myself in...
I'll have to think about getting a graphic card like and fit it myself as a noob. I rang Overclockers and they recommend a Nvidia 1050. Seen them around £100 area . Would a 1030 be ok? Or spend the extra money?
Thanks much appreciated people
I went for the Asus H110M-K Intel H110 (Socket 1151) DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard
and went for a high speed DVI cable to which I'm using now

I've just set up my new pc and monitor but unable to get 2560x1440 resolution on the monitor display settings. I've got the DVI to DVI cable set up. I only have the built in GFX card Intel (R) Graphics 530.
Am i able get get full resolution on this built in gfx card or do i need to buy a gfx...

I've never had a SSD before and don't know how benefit it. Ok I'll get it to the order and you'll have to show me down the line or I'll get the jist of it.
Thanks
I'll have a good look on the site later tonight or tomorrow. In the mean time on monitors what about this one? I'm eyeing this one at the minute

Since I've getten this security job doing days and nights mixed all over the place . I've been slacken big time. Missed my photography like but I need to unwind and take pictures again . I'll try and start this month
There was 2 options apart from the built in one. I presumed the higher the price the better gfx? I also presumed the gfx card will be better for like watching films and videos? If that gfx is worse then why is it giving me the option to upgrade?
thanks for the links and screen shots. I'm off...
Sorry what do you mean GPU? if it's the Procrssor, i'd thought and upgrade it so long term purposes and the same for GFX card.
For the USB ports, not really but it's mainly with it been 3.0 rather than the 2.0. The USB ports on the front will be i presume 2.0. Best having 3.0 for the future.
