Mintex 1144 aren't all that. I get my ds2500 fading on the road (but not so much on track as you carry more speed.) Better pads are the answer. You could try Yellowstuff as a budget offering, £65 for a set of them. Anything else costs 2-4x that.

As chip said they only gain about 8bhp. Iirc from Mike's graph they lost a little torque and the bhp gains were only at the very top end. If you're going to go to the hassle of doing a cam swap then fit the best you can for the budget. I'd go for 421 over the 438, they're £600 new and very...

Unless you're going to take the engine apart for forged pistons catcams 421 are the best option. May as well keep the vvt too.

I too have been caught out by a dry track and damp kerb. Lodge corner at Oulton, I did a 180 but it was back onto the track so kept it on the tarmac. I've never been at maximum attack since!

They shouldn't be noisy yet then. It could be the drive shaft centre bearing. Does the noise change with speed or rpm at all?

What tyres have you got, how old are they and how much tread have they got left?

Ideally you'd want a full cup racer Sadev setup. They go for around £3-4k used iirc

It's come on well. Have you got an adjuster for the epas to vary the assistance? I'd take it to DTM or RS Tuning for a remap, you'll get more out of it than the RS Tuner. It'll also give you a better idea of how it's running.

Seal not seated correctly or tightened up? The only way for it to leak is if the seal isn't functioning correctly.

Have you driven it for an extended time with any weight in the back?

Not a bad height. It'll allow for passengers and stuff in the boot too. If you want to go lower you'd be better off selling them and getting a different set of springs.
