Re: Ph1 172 I tried one of the Cobras but it sat further back than the standard seats which is no good with the little ones in the car so they got picked up yesterday. Shame really as they gave a great driving position and are very comfy. Put the drivers seat back in without the spacers though...

Gave my headlights a polish up (I just used 2500 and some ScratchRx, could have done with starting from 1500 though), did the side strips black and gave the car a polish and wax.

I remember measuring it and I think it was either M4 or M5 fine but I'm not 100%

I had my alignment measured and the camber on the front is 0. This is after lowering the car a couple of weeks ago. What is the most camber I can get with camber bolts? Also the rear is -1.5 left and -1.25 right. I've got some Eibach adjustable camber shims which suit Laguna mk1, megane...

Mine are ok so far but I don't do many miles tbh. Got a track day in 5 weeks at Anglesey so I'll push them a bit. I'm not sure what to get the camber set to though...I don't want them to wear the insides on the road but I want enough camber for track.

Best using an angle grinder and wire brush for the roof in that case.

I was just going to start with the 6 on the floor :) Doing the rest (bar the boot floor) involves taking things out so it's likely to remain intact. At least for quite a while anyway

There are 6 tar pads on the floor of the Clio, 2 in each front foot well, 2 under the seats and 2 in the rear foot wells. Does anyone know how much these weigh? Whilst I've got the seats out I thought I'd scrape them off if they weigh enough.

My rear brakes are down to the metal and the discs are worn too. Are the discs, pads, bearings and abs rings the same on all mk2 Clio sports or do they differ? I've got a ph1 172.

Are the lugs that are cut off for the pre-tensioners then? Or do they bolt elsewhere?

You mean 428s? Yes I believe they are fine but to get the best from them a remap is advised.

Cams £295, remap £300, decat is optional. Then you need to factor in fitting cost, do you need a cambelt kit? Is it worth doing the dephaser pulley? And so on.

I found out later on they are the exact same profile as the Catcams 428. Just much, much cheaper!

Go to an exhaust place. Then either replace it or weld in a bit of pipe.

Re: Ph1 172 I think I'll get them fitted when the new clips turn up :) Got rid of the horrible grille today and removed an old sticker off the bumper.

Re: Ph1 172 The current silver side strips are a bit tatty so I bought some standard black ones to replace them with. Freshend them up with some Halfords bumper paint. Still a bit undecided between silver and black

Undo the 14mm nut and bolt where the arb connects to the droplink. Move it to the next hole in the arb. Tighten it back up :) 5 minute job which you can do without raising the car

I've also changed from 195 to 205 and found the 205 a huge improvement...
