Yes those are the correct numbers. Thanks Steve. I was told they apply to all Mk2 172 and 182 now and that non-Cup arms are no longer supplied. So If I purchase a pair based on the above numbers I should end up with Cup arms :)

I meant the same cold properties as standard oil but better at high temp :) so not wrong, just left the word standard out.

I would go for 5w50. Same cold properities but better at high temp for the turbo. Comma 5w50 synthetic is a good oil and very well priced. Although something like Millers CFS with a very high temp resistance helps with the peak temps encountered in the turbo core. It would help to run an oil...

Just been onto renaultpartsdirect and they said all they supply now are the Cup arms so there is one part number for all. They don't supply non-cup arms. Is this the case? I don't want to order a pair and end up with non-cup arms

How do I tell if these are cup wishbones with extra caster? I got them with a complete subframe, arb and other bits supposedly from a 182 cup. The arb matches up being 23/25 rather than 22/25

I've had good experiences with piper reprofiled cams before, I had shims supplied with them for my ST170 engine and it made good figures.

The side strips on my ph1 have been sprayed silver with a rattle can...badly... I want to do them black again so I'll need to strip the paint and give them a freshen up. What are the best products to do this?

Just put a Sparco front brace on my ph1 172 and the bonnet needs to be pushed closed rather than dropped but it doesn't seem to be touching. Anyone else had an issue?

Always had good experiences with Newman. Didn't think they did F4R cams though. Not in their catalogue anyway, maybe its not been updated.

On my very 1st car I had a peco backbox. Sounded lovely and looked quite tasteful too, especially compared with what others fitted at the time.

Out of interest how much extra back pressure do boxes with a diagonal perforated pipe (corner to corner or centre to corner) make compared with a straight perforated pipe (centre to centre)? They'll be slightly quieter but what is the trade off with back pressure or does it not make that much...

Lots of threads on here about the RS2, lots of love for it but what are the differences between the normal and extra. RS2 vs RS2 extra. What maps are available with or without cams, bigger injectors etc. I've seen references to changing engine mounts and other parts.
