Cheers chaps!
It's weird how the two sets of wheels really divide opinion. Those who like stripped cars and similar like the winters, and those who like newer/baller spec cars favour the summers.
I am proper loving car cleaning lately, so I can't wait.
Cheers chip, funny thing is it was purely by chance. 5 series wheel lying about, thought I'd try them and they happened to fit poyfect!
Cheers chap, I agree on the silver, I do love how it looks a bit more "hard/focused" in the winter though.
Summer I want it looking fresh whilst blasting...
I finally picked up a new Nilsfick Pressure washer last week for a pretty decent price, (never had my own at home before, always nick one or use the unit's one) and I'd been eager to see if it was as good as the Karcher. Worked from home today so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to give it...
I've ordered the gliptone, so as long as it works I'm happy enough for now. That's mainly for the brothers car, I'll try JD's fancy foam recommendation on mine.
Cheers, I'll use the gliptone on mine, and order the LTT because it looks cool.
So even though expensive, the gliptone will rid the seats of silicone? (That's exactly what it was, the bloke even said when I asked if he wanted to pick up my dry cleaning bill) Sent me into a full on rage that a...
Gliptone was ordered before forearms started using acronyms :o
I'll give it a go and see.
Anyone got any advice for getting the s**t the dealer put on the seats off?
It's just like Vaseline ffs!!!!
PMSL, that's funny, some dick at BMW told me the same thing on the used approved 330d I managed to source for my brother in essex, I said if he'd meet the price, seeing as the two cars were almost identical apart from location, I'd take his one. He went off trying to be all coy and cool and car...
As said, often by the time you factor in the hours, unless you enjoy it, to do a proper job it's normally better to pay someone.
There's quite a few threads, one in guides, about how to paint your wheels.
Should not be left to get bored: New nilfisk pressure washre, some new brushes as mine are all dead, a few new different microfibres (few deep pile, few large for drying), full gliptone leather kit, some rapid dirt shifter, and an AF tripple to keep me happy if I wash it and it's sunny and want...
Now, call me old fashioned, but back in the day before detailing became all scene and stuff, people used to rant and rave about gliptone leather products.. now, I've not heard it mentioned for ages.. what's the craic?
Basically, I need a new leather product, for two reasons:
1) My z4's...
I like this thread, it reeks of honesty, and not need.
Keep it up and keep learning. When I joined CS I couldn't do a thing mechanically. Now I near enough do everything myself.
Be careful, be logical about it, and take your time and you'll not go far wrong. Clio's are a great car to...
Never nice to hear of sad things going on behind the scenes for members, sorry to hear it.
Project looks brilliant, as said, photos are key.
Most importantly I think it needs different wheels, 182 wheels just don't scream supercharged. Ultra's... perfect.
