You think they'll write the car off because of a scrapped engine? Why would they? It's still economic to repair.
I got front ended 4 weeks ago by a little old lady who joined the roundabout on the wrong side of the road. It was a very low impact collision but its costing her insurance £3k to...
Right rear.

Left rear.

I don't know why there's such a big difference in price for the same brake caliper but opposite sides. Autodoc seems to be like that for some reason 🤔
I just noticed the left rear is out of...
You might as well get both of them changed at the same time. It's sods law you'll change one and the other will snap.
I just took mine to a local garage and they changed mine.
Getting the right ones can be a bit tricky.
Offside cable...
I remember when I bought my first 172 back 2001. I was just parking up when some random woman pulled over and came over to me waffling on about how her 172 that was only a few months old had had its cambelt snap and I should go and get it checked over at a Renault dealership.
I just ignored...
I use a Farcella G3 Pro mitt. Never had an isuue with marring. Use it on the paintwork when it's wet after washing and the car feels smooth as glass when it's done...
Don't buy the genuine Renault studs. I've had loads snap over the years, and they're expensive for what they are.
Buy yourself 2 of these M8 x150mm stainless threaded bar plus 2 stainless flanged nuts. Tighten until it feels right and the fuel rail doesn't rattle. Job done and no more snapped...
It's shot up hell of a lot since I bought mine last year. 😮Then it was only £130. Plus I had a 20 quid voucher and a trade card so I only paid about £85.
It makes a massive difference, to me anyway, being able to lift it another 13cm. I could only just squeeze under the car now I've lots more...
I have 2 of these cheap Halfords jacks. Had em for years and they're a bit knackered now. They only lift the car 37.5cm. The one @McGherkin linked to is night and day between the one you linked. Plus it lifts up to 50 cm which makes it hell of a lot easier to get under the car.
Ive only ever seen one Vee and it was Acid Yellow. It was parked at the side of the road in Leyland, Lancashire. It was absolutely stunning. I wish I'd stopped now and had a good look at it but I was in a hurry to get home.
£119.99 at ECP 😮 That's with their discount code. Normally they're pretty competitive, but not this time lol.
I don't think you'll find much cheaper than the one I posted a link too. And it's definitely genuine. I've been running one for about 5 months now. 😊
We used to use jewellers rouge or cerium oxide to polish out very fine scratches at work. But you'll be there for hours and hours and hours. New windscreen would be the better option.
I really don't get your way of thinking 🤔
Somebody owns a car. That car developes a fault, they sell it on to a dealer, its not their problem anymore.
Somebody then asks for any information about the car.
Why wouldn't they share any information they might have?
Why wouldn't they admit to any issues if they've already moved it on? In my opinion, I think if they could find the previous owner, they'd be more than happy to share any information.
I went to partsouq but couldn't find anywhere to put in CB22.
It's a 182 with cup pack suspension. I have a spare new 15mm abs ring if they need that,I'll take it with me just in case.
I'm 100% sure it is the cv joint. The boots off, which it failed the MOT on last September and was put back on and a new clip.
It started today as I was driving back from the supermarket. 1 minute it was fine the next the steering wheel was shaking like f**k, I pulled over thinking I might have...
Did you find out which cv joint you need and where from? I think one of mine is knackered. It's going to the garage tomorrow to check it out. Any info would be good.
I had a 172 years ago and it developed a stutter like yours. If I remember rightly it was up to about 2500 revs then above that it would be fine. It was the spark plugs. Changed them and it was fine after that.
So yeah "could" be HT leads or coilpack as you've already changed your plugs.
Looks like a cracking job you've had done. 👍 I used to see people post about rust round the arch and others would say it's probably had some crash damage/repair.
Well mine had never had any damage or repair and it was bubbling so maybe its a good idea to put something between the bumper and...
