Farecla G3 compund is very gritty! But will cut very well. It's terrible stuff to work with, goes dry and it's so messy tho.

A green 3m one with 3m polish (colour coded) should most definitely correct the paint. Maybe your technique? G220 is qalways going to struggle compared with a rotary tho.
