How much do Renault charge for can change

If you go to a reputable garage , like one of the specialists on here who use genuine parts , you'll get a 1 year guarantee on the parts anyway . Just the same as you would if you take it to a Renault garage . The only advantage of taking it to a specialist is they will have done lots of these...

How much do Renault charge for can change

I wouldn't trust a Renault dealership ever again . I've just had both my belts , dephaser , water pump etc ..... done at Diamond Motors on Wednesday , bit of a trek , 5 and half hours round trip but well worth it because of Micks knowledge of these cars and no Bullsh1t . The last time Renault...

Just bought a 172, having doubts!

If the car is nice, like you said in every other aspect except the belts, get the belts and dephaser done and you'll have a nice car at the end of the day for not much money

Rear brakes - what to change?

Swapping the old bleed nipples for stainless ones is well worth doing imo . Also bleed your brakes , new fluid would be a good idea whilst your at it . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181576126741?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Yet another Yozza Decat thread *what fits?*

I wouldn't bother mate . I had a proper Yozza decat on my Yozza exhaust . I sold it last year for about £60 after I swapped it back to the Cat for the MOT . The only difference you'll notice is sound , its pretty loud . You won't notice any difference in performance . But if you do insist on...

    Lacquer help

I don't see any harm in trying a hair dryer for a few seconds on a warm setting , just to evaporate any surface moisture that might be there . It can't really turn out any worse than your first attempt . It's worth a try imo .

    Lacquer help

I meant moisture trapped under the lacquer, on the colour coat , that won't disappear with heat .

    Broken nipples

You'll mostly likely struggle getting them out . Try some screw extractors like these . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-PIECE-PCE-DAMGED-SCREW-EXTRACTOR-CASE-BOLT-SCREW-STUD-REMOVER-EASY-OUT-/160832214896?hash=item257258d770 Failing that . You'll have to drill them out and retap the thread . The...

    Brake question..

Rear brake discs last for a very long time , so do the pads .I've had my 182 for 9 and half years and only changed my original rear discs last September . It's had 3 lots of new discs and pads on the front in all that time , that's covering 58K miles. Rear pads don't have alot of friction...

    Advice on alloys?

Shame about the dent . Google PDR or paintless dent removal in your area . Typically a PDR guy would charge about £40 a dent , might be a little more for that . You'll only know if you ring one and ask .

    Advice on alloys?

Do I chop up my Yozza?

If you're not happy with the Yozza tips, get some that you are , simple really . It's your exhaust , do it and don't bother what anybody else thinks .

182 popping exhaust in 2nd gear

Mine does this with my Yozza when cold . I think it's just a bad join either between the centre section and olive joint on the Cat or the exhaust manifold and Cat , not sure which . Once it's warmed up it stops . I'm assuming that the exhaust expands just that little bit when it's hot and it...

G3 Clay mitt! Amazing (Few Photos)

Anything that is easier , quicker and gives the same/better results has got to be a winner for me  I never tried it on my alloys , but i tried it on the glass though and it lifted alot of contaminants off there too .
