Tbh Maz you can take some of the descriptions with a pinch of salt . The seller wants to sell the car , wants people to view the car , so they won't usually list the bad points , dents , scratches , general wear and tear etc .... until you see them in the flesh then its hard to tell what the...
Get a vernier caliper on em mate . Minimum thickness for front discs is 21.8mm . No way should they be worn down after just 11k unless you've got something seriously wrong with your calipers . They are 24mm when new .Ask them why they need changing , how worn are they i.e what thickness they are...
When you get the rear brake discs , make sure they have the abs ring and already have the wheel bearing pressed in , or you'll have to get your old ones pressed out and put in the new discs .
They are expensive where ever you buy them from , alot more than the front discs . Yozzasport is...
Just on that page Maz ??
I'd go for the ph1 34k with the full service history .£3,995 and a private seller so i'd say you could get a good couple of hundred pounds off the asking price . Any traders at those prices would be pretty reluctant to drop the price imo .
I've had it on a couple of weeks now in various guises , so the weathers been pretty hot and its definitely no worse than the standard air box and panel filter , still pulls as hard .Plus the k+n cone filter has a slightly larger surface area than the panel filter , don't know if this makes a...
I prefer the drive of my ff182 with cup suspension than my old ff172 , on an every day basis orwhen givin' it some . Plus the exaltos feel alot better than the contis especially round corners at higher speeds .
Sand it down , degrease it first with some panel wipe and maybe use a tack cloth to clean off any powder from sanding , then use plastic primer first before the top coat .

Tbh i'm not sure that the Gen 2 are that good . It still has the top open to the heat , it would be better if it was fully enclosed .
Heres a bit of a prototype i've made using a k+n cone filter and a homemade fully enclosed heat shield . It uses both the oe cold air feeds , has a nice...
If you look on autotrader 1.4 pug 206's are going for less than 3k so i'd say she'll get paid out . Don't know why they would change their minds and want a second inspection , i guess its probably when they are paying out they want to be 100% certain ...
Never used em but i heard somebody recommend these guys before , not far from you in Preston .

Better the devil you know imo . Sounds like you have your doubts or you wouldn't be asking !
If you've never had any major problems with your car i'd stick with yours .
When my ex gf joined she needed a letterhead plus a recent utility bill from the same business .
I'd stick with the exaltos , they were developed for the car plus buying billy budget tyres that won't hold the road in the wet is daft .
^^^^ List all the good things . If its in very good condition say so , if it has good / new tyres say so , same for brakes if they have recently been changed say so , condition of alloys etc .... You have to make your car stand out from the rest , baring in mind there are lots of 172's for sale .
Try powerflow . Not sure if there is one near you . Lifetime warranty ,stealth stainless cat back cost me £270 fabricated and fitted on my 172

Yeah its the right stuff .Like i said , the 5w-40 is for colder climates down to -25 degrees C , 10w-30 is for climates down to -20 degrees C so unless you live in an arctic country it will be ok .
It tells you this in the service book .
Mine did it for ages on my 172 . I changed the battery and it was fine after that .The batteries only have a warranty for 2 years iirc . They are only a pretty low amp battery as standard 420amps , you could try and get a heavy duty battery if it turns out to be the battery .

Mine lasted about 30k then fell off , got a stealth stainless cat back fabricated and fitted by powerflow for £270 , lifetime warranty and cheaper than a replacement renault one .
