    A swede has said from what the OP said he does with the car and the fact it's not just a bog standard engine I would run a cooler. Ok granted you have the chance of pipes splitting can't argue with that.. but personally I would run one on any car that is used a lot on track or modified a lot...

    Personally i'd always get a thermostatic one, never known anyone have ones break (obviously not 10quid ebay special)

    I did the exact same thing, if you look at the mount where the bolts goes through it looks like it is threaded although both I got hold of had knackered threads..

    Serious? If you are honestly the hardest bit is removing the heatshield under the car is really an easy job.. if it had an age rating i'd say 8+

    Err don't think there were different ones when I got mine a while ago was just a "stiff shift" I would change your knob at the same time I got a nice Richbrook one and made the install much easier and also feels lots better to use.
