i agree, but theres loads of people taking pics in cities in US, you don't seem to see that in Birmingham or Leicester for example.

you'll need both a UV (multi coated) filter and CPL both 52mm thread. i've bought 2 off ebay, don't be scared...

I didn't use a tripod for any of mine, although i did buy a gorillapod zoom out there. Don't like the idea of carrying a massive tripod round with me tbh, and the gorillapod fits in my bag with all the other kit.

Its a wicked city, Not quite a New York or San Fran, but its not that far behind tbh

Only had the D40 about 3 weeks, but been taking pics on a compact camera for about 5 years. Went up the Sears Tower and was disappointed - no open air viewing area so crap reflections for photos. John Hancock would have been a better choice.

What a great trip! Managed to wangle our way into the Virgin Club house at Heathrow before the flight, then flew and returned on upper class, the only way to travel ;) Chicago is an awesome city, 4 days was long enough to see the sights, lots of walking and shopping. Most of the pics are taken...

u can get a d50 on ebay for under £250 unless you intend to buy old lenses i don't see it being a problem

all the AF-S lens auto focus. 95% of old nikon lenses will work, but without the auto focus. You could always get a D50 if you can find one....

Yellow, cliosport sticker, big wheels, smooth boot, crappy exhaust, bad boy'd bonnet - being a complete and utter t**t. Wheel spinning, bouncing off the limiter though a housing estate. Yeah nice one. Style cruzers stickers on it, says it all really. Honestly made me glad i wasn't a clio owner...
