Not a scene fan tbh got a few mates who are (One with a lupo on purple wheels wins loads of trophies) so can still appreciate the hard work!
So fair play and will still keep an eye on this to see how it progresses..
Also that pic in MK is about 500metres from where i'm typing this ;)
I was under the impression the R1R's were released to take over from the 888's with the new rules coming in so would of thought they would be pretty good on track as well still..
Naturally this is just my theory and also very interested to hear anyones actual experineces! :o
£650 direct from BTB (if CS member) only place you can get them new..
You wont be disapointed I swapped my Ktec for one (on a 172 mind) and the difference in build quality was unbelievable..
In all honesty I think your gonna get less and less at meets at this time of the year manily as it gets colder who wants to look like a group of chavs in a car park etc.. (It's fine in the summer fyi)
I'm with the house party idea..
No you dont scrub winter tyres, and personally I am fitting mine at the end of the month.
If you want more info on them Spend a few quid and pick up the new EVO magazine a very good in depth test comparing them to summer/ all season tyres.. You will be shocked!
I have that much confidence in Winter tyres I intend to run my MX5 on them all winter even with it's open diff.. Honest
(And I also have some for the Clio ;) )
Re: 1st October. Krispy Kreme. Bath (Southgate). 6pm
Fuuuu.... I'm going to Combe for the day with the little one maybe just bring her and she can have a KK dinner lol
Fred do you, or did you do copious amounts of mind altering drugs at some point?
Heatwrap waste of yime unless you have heat issues under the bonnet, or melting the floor..
So as you say you want cheap i'd say just spank a set of T1R's.. Then when you do get the chance to try proper track tyres (assuming you haven't already) you will straight away buy a 2nd set of wheels for them ;)
Does depend on you not having to get anything remachined etc which always happens when you only have a short amount of time to get stuff done!
But yeah should be do able if it all goes smoothly ish!
