I did pretty much the same. My 172 was parked on the drive for 16 months. It fired up first time when jump started.

Last time I drove it prior to being fixed the tensioner failed and ate the aux belt, it was due a belt change anyway. At the same time I had just started my extension, so had no expendable cash to throw at the clio until now mate.
