Craners are nuts. When I did Donnington a few years back I remember looking down half way through them at the Speedo and going “f**k me it says 110” and then massive lift off oversteer at the bottom as I wasn’t concentrating into to the last corner as I did not believe at all I was doing 110, to...
Anyone know of alternatives to Gtechniq Smart Fabric? Went to get some and it’s £31 for 500ml and I don’t remember paying that much for it in the past so just seeing if there is anything else that will do the same. It’s annoying as the Gtechniq stuff is really good so I might just have to suck...
I can guarantee the “best” photo we end up taking on our honeymoon will be on our phone 🙄 tbh our favourite photo from our wedding day was the one I took on my phone just after the service of just me and my wife when we had 2 mins to ourselves, but that was more of the moment rather than it was...
Yeah that is a good point! I was reading about it and one person said its like 10% of all the photos they take are good, the rest are just rubbish.
If I can find a prime at a good price I’ll get one and take that and the standard lens as that is small. It’s worth having a play around I think...
I've got a Sonmy A6000 and getting to grips with it, which means it is still pretty much pot luck if a photo comes out to how I want it but practice makes perfect.
Picked it up second hand for a very good price with the idea of being able to take some semi decent photos of my upcoming honeymoon...
Car spotting is more fun in Surrey. Just seen an Aston Martin DB5, Ferrari Testarossa, Mk2 Jaguar, R8, TR6, 964 911
Back home the most exciting vehicle spotting is what machinery the farmer is using.
I’ve got a Noco junp pack and it’s great at jump starting cars. Went to use the USB charger on it last night to charge mine and the wife’s phones as the little shepherd's hut we are staying in doesn’t have mains power.
I checked that it worked before we left and it was charging my phone via the...
saw a red VW Corrado earlier. Driving a bit like a prick. But the noise this thing made made me chuckle. Couldn’t tell if it was a G60 or VR6 as it was going silly speed.
Took this at Chester Zoo back in December on their light trail event
Will admit it’s pretty much pot luck if anything turns out good! But with more practice then I should get better. I know what kind of photo I want to take but knowing how to get it evades me 🤣
Downloaded Apple’s Photomator...
Fit a hidden battery isolator or fuel pump switch. It’s not a visual deterrent and someone might break in and realise they can’t start it before they give up.
I’ve got a StopLock bar thing for my E34 and it works well and no effort to remove and store it behind the seats when I want to use it.
Anyone used one of these things to clean the underside of their car

Needs to have bigger wheels and not the caster wheels I’ve seen to cope with my gravel drive. And would need to work out if it will fit into my pressure washer, although I’d like to upgrade it this...
Oh it infuriates me having to use American spelling in code as a lot of methods and that are like .getColor() and authorization
Gahhhhh!!!!!
Although I do have great pleasure closing support tickets going “user error” when they are clearing being a moron.
With a lot more Ph1’s coming out the wood work for restoration - I have a the front and back seats from my old one. Not perfect and would need a retrim. But if anyone is interested let me know, price is negotiable as I have no idea of the worth...
I’m going back over there this year (still need to get a date booked). I really enjoyed it when I’ve done TF. I echo Flob’s point about being the most stressful driving experience ever 🤣 I’ve always plodded around at a higher than road speed pace kind of thing but will never go flat out because...
I fitted a period correct tape deck in it so needed some period correct tapes for it! The centre console only holds 6 tapes so it’s a very limited collection I have!
Used to spend hours rotating my music collection on my mp3 player as a kid - the 3hrs on the bus to and from school every day was better with different music. I did have a bit of a CD collection and we all used to borrow friends and share around. I really cba with doing that now and having...
Oh maybe was thinking of the airbag module. I knew there was something behind it!
Yeah I wouldn’t worry too much about the immobiliser, mine seemed to still work and I didn’t do anything and I’m a proper ham fisted idiot when it comes to fixing things.
If it’s second hand and got a map on it then it might run better than mine did on start up.
Isn’t the immobiliser on a different ECU behind the gear stick? I never did anything about an immobiliser on mine
I did have a lot of help from others on here doing this! But my argument was if I can do it anyone one can 🤣
I hated doing the ECU changes as that was an expensive piece of kit that I didn’t want to ruin!
Oh might want to chuck some sacrificial spark plugs in when you start it for the first...
Consider yourself lucky it’s just been a months, this has been my life for the past 6 years 🤣
I can sympathise with the support rota crap. I work on a system that is never allowed to fail or go down. I’m a part of the 3rd line support team for it and it’s the worst part of my job dealing with...
