Well to get the head line bored, I only found 1 company in the uk that could and would do it! £450 later it was done. It was nothing but grief for them to do it and I don't think they'll do another! If you're that worried, shave off the sharp areas with a Stanley knife blade.

I do a roll centre kit that works with your standard hubs mate. There's info in the group buy section. It corrects bump steer as well.

When you start it up from cold, hold the revs at around 1k to 1.2k and listen for a noise that sounds like a train on the tracks. That'll be the timing chain. Depends on age/mileage that you're looking at of course.

You can get R888R's in 205/45 R16 and it will handle no differently on 16's to 15's. I swapped from 15's up to 16's on my track cup.........never noticed any difference!! Great selection of cars you've got there! Welcome back too!

Driveshafts or the output shaft on the diff? If it's the output shaft on the diff, they do one made out of f1 spec material. It's designed to have a certain amount of twist to solve the snapping issue.

No worries mate. Tbh the 197's are at that sort of money nowadays. It's only really well known forum cars that are commanding higher prices.

@imprezaworks check the inner edges of the front tyres for uneven wear. If there's some present it'll be play in the bottom ball joint. Ball joints available but fiddly to replace. Renault will only sell a complete upright.

Oh and I've driven a 197 R27 too btw, which that shares its chassis with. :up:

That'll be very similar to the 200 in terms of how it drives mate. The gearbox will have different ratios to the first 197's, so should make it slightly better on fuel. The 200 chassis is slightly better than the 197 though as they tweaked a few things. Would you notice that? Doubt it tbh...

Order 3 bottles mate. Officially they take 3.1ltrs, but 3 bottles of redline is sufficient.
