If you run atf in a jc5 box it will ruin all the remaining synchros. It's f**king awful stuff. I know because I've had the misfortune of rebuilding one that was running on atf.
A rebuild is THE only option as stated above.
It's either leaking from the selector shaft seal (the normal place) or it's the casing join that's leaking.
To fix them properly both require a gearbox strip down.
Another update sports fans!
Today I got the call to say my brake bells and rotors were ready for collection. Very pleased with how these have turned out!! These are a custom 295x28 setup and they're still lighter than the original 280's, so substantially lighter than the 300mm scenic discs...
I have the power to award points. Just you keep that in mind when recommending me for arb bushes! Flol!! Anything other than the powerflex black series arb bushes. 🙈
If the spacer has a chamfer on both sides of where it passes over the spigot, then yes they are fitted correctly. If not it needs swapping over so the chamfer is on the face of the disc.
^^^^in fact scrap that! Lol it's only applicable the way I've stated it on the rears.
Yeah give it a shot mate. Just make sure the pulley locking tool is tight and the cam locking tool isn't bent after you've tightened up the pulley nut/bolt.
This is 100% correct. The horseshoe is only there to set the cams in the correct position. It's the idiots that think they can loosen/tighten the cam pulley nut/shifter bolt that run into trouble and bend the tool.
