I'd also agree with this. The D40 is a PERFECT beginner DSLR, plus at the price Clart is selling it at you could afford to have it for a year and sell it if/when you decide to upgrade and lose no money.
The only thing that limits the D40 against newer entry level Nikon's is the way it handles ISO.
I'm afraid to say that I'm warming to it. It would be a decent daily.
I'd still prefer a manual. That said, the novelty of a paddle shift would probably win me over on a test drive. When I drove Dave's R32 for 5 minutes it made me giggle!
It still looks a bit downy, though.
I don't know I I'll bother at first tbh. My Xbox is my DVD player nowadays, can't remember the last time I played a game on there.
I'll still buy one, lol.
