If the pitting is tiny, then you can use filler primer which builds the surface and pretty much flats itself aswell :)

Yes definatly, etch primer has much better adhesion than normal primer so will resist peeling/flaking much better in the long run.

I prepped and Painted the inner/outer of the alloy yes.

yeah, they are very common for unexplained poor fuel consumption (on most cars infact). Make sure you change the lambda before the cat as this one is the one that controls the fuelling. The one after the cat just monitors the catalytic converter is doing its job by checking the emission's...

If they have done the clutch a poor/loose earth on the gearbox could cause issues similar to this, even a connection on the battery like a loose terminal, just take it back to them if you don't know how to check.

I had this exact same issue, was always 25-26 mpg no matter how light on the throttle I was. I fitted a new bosch pre-cat lambda sensor as mine wasn't switching voltages properly and now I am getting 29-30 mpg with normal /odd blast driving, I get 32-33mpg if I drive carefully around town...

Id go with the phase1 if you want a newer and easier to maintain car (age wise), or a Williams if you want something a bit different and rarer and don't mind spending £££ to get/keep it right. My mate/work colleague just bought a Williams 2 for £960 lol but needs £££ spending on it, he loves...

Re: perfomance If I do its barely noticeable, if it feels faster its normally me driving it like a loon higher up the revs where all the power is, then I am like 'oh yeah ' lol. When driving around town a lot you forget how pokey they are higher up.

Just play it safe and fit a new pulley then, saves aggro in the future. You would be surprised how many people re-use the old pulley bolts so was just making sure ;)

Do you have a logbook then? if not you need to sort that first. IF you have the green slip (v5/c2) you can apply for a logbook from the DVLA if you send it off with a' v62 application for a logbook' form. And its FREE if you have the Green slip, surely they will just transfer the registration...
