Interesting I have a 2005 Widetrack on 60k. Completely std.
But I thought it may be time for a suspension refresh at 15 years old. But not interested in lower it just want some fresh std stuff. Any thoughts? Is it just OEM?
I moved from am E30 M3 back in early noughties to a P1. Those cars...
You just think of the typical door one. Bot gets more complicated when its double skinned and can't get behind. Or softens the paint with a he a gun so it dont crack.
A real skill and I guess there are good ones and not so good ones.
When i had one dent on an otherwise unmarked car i felt unwell until it was sorted.
Even when charging me what he was he said he would go to bmw dealers once a week and do everything on there forecourt for 100 quid.
I have used a guy in the south coast a few times at £80 a panel.
When first got a car there were loads including a fist sized one. Great job and worth the money but pricey when have done single dent.
I guess it depends on how busy he is, has to drive to you . Drive back. May not work every hr...
The other thing I am conscious at this time of year & with COVID.
Don't use all week.
Drive to supermarket with lights, heater, rear heater, stereo. 2 miles
Drive to petrol station 0.5 mile.
Drive Home 2 miles.
3 Starts .... 4.5 miles.
So the times I am driving are not enough to put...
Got a ctek.
God send especially with covid.
Cycle to work in the week. Cars used to have a good run at weekend. Now that's not happening just pop on charger once a fortnight.
The one outside garage i just check there is no rain forecast.
Looking good. You are not wasting time with the mods.
You are right I have never seen those seats before?
I have full leather on Cup-S which has been offered for years. And the Trophy's have the Half Leather with the alcantara centres.
Amazing cars. Best place for a Meg engine..... leave it...
I looked at a cosworth and an rb320 before buying the blob.
But 2.5 engine fear made me settle on the blob. Don't regret.
But hatch with the right wheels looks so muscular. But my fear is hawk spec c and s204 prices have taken off over last couple of years by the time the hatches get a steady...
My wife has had her unmodified sti widetrack for 6 years now.
Keep thinking about selling it and getting back into a nice yellow 200.
But given subaru recent efforts. Probably never go back.although i do like the look of the jdm hatches coming to market
I saw a clio 200 for sale on autotrader claiming 240 bhp.
Said it had ktec cam, porting exhaust , filter and remap.
Don't see many n.a. conversions, mostly meg engines.
Anyond had this done?is that power possible?
I constantly try to explain the principle to people that is you by a nice older car with a good reliability record at the bottom of its depreciation curve you can drive a nice car for little cost.
There are loads of cars i would like to own but its just picking the right time in there...
Ironically trophys are quite common with 500 made. The rarer colours are a 10th of that or less.
That's why nice colour ones been fetching good money last year or so.
Std cup pack car slightly easier ownership prospect without having to worry about Sachs.
Cars like r26r and trophy get all the...
What's even better is you may be able to pick it up. Use it look after it & sell it for more than you got it for.
Now that's cheap motoring.
The gain in value will offset the cost of maintence...... meaning people look after them and more nice ones stay on the road.
Obviously if you were...
197 and 200 stands out a mile because of those wide arches. Nobody does that anymore. except m cars and amg. They squeeze the performance car into std shell.
I think they have bottomed out anyway then the covid supply vs demand kicked in.
Move up the budget a little and fiesta st comes into...
Looks good.
I have a uk widetrack. But i like the earlier car seats and that diagonal stitching bit on the lower bolster. The headlights have grown on me over time.
Not sure what the power limit is on top mounted intercooler?
I am gonna shout out those silver handles again.
If you want tips on wrapping stuff in black wrap watch Hayden, the king of yellow Meganes do it......... Then pay a professional.
As i have red pin stripe Steev 19s i thought about refurbishing in black only and getting the red edge protectors.
Then I slapped myself in the face!
I think the pin stripe does break up the all black stolen wheel look in photos.
My yellow Meg get lots of luv.
I get people rolling down windows at traffic lights to tell me how good it looks. Just hardly any of them on the road.
Got a Yxx CUP plate too.
Only thing is would look better with black door handles.
Great choice.
I had sky for about 20 years. Phone, entertainment and basic broadband. £36. Used to threaten to leave and the would drop to £27
Realised I was watching less and less. Maybe 1hr a day.
Got a basic broadband and calls package from now tv. (No tv) for £18.
Speeds posted on here are way faster...
I use an old fashioned seal propelled micro scooter with my daughter.
When you hit a tiny stone probably 1 cm in size it is likd going over handle bars on bike.
I have done it a couple of times and landed on my feet but usually jerk my back as I deceleratd so quickly.
And that's probably...
Golf r and subaru in std form are quick in quoted numbers due to traction of the line.
M140i has much more power (actual std dyno) and torque. And is indecently rapid once moving and traction permits.
