Cars in the park at Newby Hall today. The weather was w**k and the turnout was well down on normal there. I didn't take many pics this time but did get a pic of my car for once!
Oh that's not mine!
Nope, not that one either🙄
Where the hell did I park mine?
This is silly now 😂
Ah...
Went for a wander round Padley Gorge at the weekend and stumbled upon these amongst others.
The last mot on that is a s**t show 🤣.
And its probably had the clocks changed at some point.
I was recruited to taxi my daughter about on Friday and the car was making a clunking noise again. One part of it was tracked down to the drivers seat so I'll have to remove that and have a look to see if anything is loose. More clunking was happening though so back up in the air for a spanner...
Fixes the clunk, again. Took it for a quick spin upto town and over the speed bumps and all good. Got home and the fucker won't lock or e cognise the key card unless it's in the dash slot. New battery, same s**t so looks like I'm doing a dance about to lock the c**t until I can get it sorted...
No. I have worked places where one man has run 2 or more machines. But that's OK if it's batch work and the pay is fair. I've always done one offs and when the gaffers decide they don't like me sat while it's running they try to force a second machine into the mix. That would involve a change of...
Fool I had a nap after 2 hours 😂. I can see from here the tips are getting worn because of how the swarf is so I'll probably stop it and go home soon and leave it for the day wanker to change them.
P. S. He's milled the od undersize today too and tried to blame me 😂.
I was asked at a previous place to run a second machine. I was doing 10 hour night shifts and they wanted the second machine running for minimum 6 hours for me to get paid for it. They offered me £2.50 an hour and wanted no f**k ups. I was on £22.50 at the time so it didn't seem worth the effort...
Boring job alert. High feed milling a weld prep on this job, estimated time 20 hours. I'm 3 hours in and thank god for works WiFi and my PlayStation portal 😂.
Some stuff from the motorist today.
Plenty of porsches, there were even more GT4 RS's heading in as we left, so common!
Why would you ever raise the stupid wing?
Much nicer than the GT3 RS imo.
Looked nice in the sun with the twingo. Shame I didn't take a pic 😂. My child did with her crapple though.
The twingo looks cool in the rear view mirror.
My daughter messaged me the other day requesting a car wash day so after scrubbing the twingo that hasn't been washed since I last washed it I gave the clio a once over. The replacement passenger side headlamp was a bit scabby so I bought a kit to sort it a while ago.
It alleges minimum sanding...
You'll probably have to remove the rear panel to get the seat belt reel out. What was the advisory for the steering column? Mine said play in the column which tured out to be the universal joint but tightening it made the bloody thing creak worse than my knees do 😂.
I didn't find it that bad getting in last year. I parked with the BMW club so was sent around the farm and in via the exit road so avoided the main queue. I don't know why they don't split the files in two and send more cars in that way.
Jacked the clio up again at the weekend and checked the front suspension over. I even removed the wipers and scuttle to check the top mounts and nothing was loose or showing any evidence of having moved, then while talking to my dad about it he's saya the clunk could possibly have been the...
