Yep and the bolts went in without any pissing about too. I've had it around the block and it feels fine, steering wheel is back dead centre and no funny noises. I still need to raise the rear and fit the diffuser but cba today.

Finally got around to raising the rear suspension a touch today as it was sat a little too low for my liking. The wheels did need a little bit more poke so I bought some 5mm spacers. Slapped them on and with the car sat better in could refit the rear diffuser too.

Thats better and I do believe it's finally back in one piece! Road trip to the shitty side of the Pennines tomorrow so fingers crossed it comes back in one piece again.
It needs a bloody good clean and some pdr and the ac gassing and I think it's finished then. Dunno what to do with it then, I wanted to bring it to CSF but I can't make that this year so I guess I'll have to see how much use it gets when the weather is better.

Drove to buy the Mongdeo off @Klumpy Dumpy yesterday and some spakka in a fiesta cut me up causing me to brake heavily. This caused a clunk from the front suspension that's definitely not supposed to happen, so that needs looking at again. The car drove fine afterwards so that's a plus. Then on the way home I was rewarded with this s**t 🙄.

Yay! I've not seen an eml for ages.

Does look like pre-cat.

8200830903 is the part from what i can see.

Which is a Bosch unit.

Edit: Although it does depend on the connector type, it could also be a Bosch LS6046 (same as a 182) if it's an oval connector.

Probably best to get under and have a look.

That code suggests the second sensor to me. It is saying the cat isn't working as well as it should be.
A cheap fix for now would be to fit an angled spacer to the sensor.

That doesn't fix the cat being past its best (which will probably get picked up on its next MOT) but it will get rid of the fault.

Could be right, i assumed bank 1 sensor 1 😅

I'd log the sensor voltage and see what it's saying.

Should be steady voltage if it's working and cat is ok.

I move the car out of work this morning and the eml was on and half an hour later it wasn't. Maybe it just doesn't like motorway work? b*****d thing 😂.

Jacked the clio up again at the weekend and checked the front suspension over. I even removed the wipers and scuttle to check the top mounts and nothing was loose or showing any evidence of having moved, then while talking to my dad about it he's saya the clunk could possibly have been the engine moving 🤔. It might be time to fit the new engine mounts I bought last year then. So I fitted the air filter that's been in the boot for a while.

Barely used that! I've not driven it for a few days now so the eml will probably come on as soon as I find some petrol to put in it.

My daughter messaged me the other day requesting a car wash day so after scrubbing the twingo that hasn't been washed since I last washed it I gave the clio a once over. The replacement passenger side headlamp was a bit scabby so I bought a kit to sort it a while ago.

It alleges minimum sanding and a permanent uv protection afterwards.

It was a lot easier and less messy than a drill sanding kit and made a decent improvement. Could still do with new headlamps as the plastic is old and crazed. Anothe job ticked off.
Gave the car a wash after and a rub down with a clay mit, omg how satisfying is that to do 😁.

Having a trip to the motorist tomorrow and it might be the first time in a clean car 😂.
