Car looked great at Kenwick park when I was collecting my lodge keys, and when I followed you for a lap.
I had similar scrubbing/buzzing noises, my front tyres have been eating the arch liners near the front bumper/wing fastening and the inside of the liner on the rear of the car so that might...
Car is booked in at AK Automotive https://www.facebook.com/share/14iTjvKKfWG/ for a check over next Wednesday, once it's been given the all clear and squared up I'll get it over to my mates powder coating place to get the scuffed wheels refurbed
Thinking back, my only gripe would be the sighting lap. I was towards the back of the third row of cars waiting to go out, so by the time I was actually on track the lead car was nowhere to be seen so I spent the sighting lap chasing the pack ahead of us trying to catch up, making the sighting...
Looks straight by eye, I've had the camber bolt out to make sure it wasn't bent with them having a slim shank. I'm going to remove the damper and check the rod isn't bent next time I'm home, but with the car on the drive and a digital angle finder on the disc the camber is the same both sides...
I don't think so mate, I have checked it, everything is paint penned and it all still lines up and it's on powerflex black series rack bushes which are pretty much solid.
Got home safely around 1400 which was nice, unpacked and made a start with the car
Gave it a quick wash and most of the paint from the barrier came off with some IPA, went over the scratches with some 1500 wet and dry and some heavy cut compound on a DA, it's far from perfect but it's much...
I've got Mintex racing MRM1801 pads and RBF600 fluid, I'm going to replace the front pads with some PBS ProRace and fit a new rear compensator.. along with all of the other bits that need replacing
Well that's not quite how I wanted my day to end, session one was slow with not knowing the track etc, session two felt a lot better but the front pads were smoking when I came in so sat out session three. Went out for session four and binned it on the second (I think) lap.
Still not totally...
Unsurprisingly my car has decided to throw a fit this morning, went into limp mode with throttle position track A P0120 error..
Has anyone at CSF got a 172 throttle pedal in their spares box?
I had plans for a final weekend of CSF prep, fitting the stub axle spacers and rear camber shims, and checking the alignment.
Managed to pull my back (recurring problem) during the week but thought I'd be alright to crack on today. Got the car jacked up and one rear wheel off and tweaked my...
I'd never double stack sandwich plates, you're asking for trouble.
As has already been said, either buy a plate with a port for sensors, or fit them elsewhere - tap into the pressure switch for pressure and either the sump or oil cooler line pre-cooler for temp.
I've got a mocal billet...
I've got a BTB on mine, it's well made, much nicer than the Ktec stealth I took off. With a cat and two silencers it's fairly quiet too.
If there's a decent fabricator near you I'd definitely look into getting one made, that way it'll be a nice TIG welded job that fits the car properly rather...
I've used a Citroen C1 seatbelt buckle, depending on what seat/side mounts you've got you could re-use the OEM bucket and pretensioner
Theres a few threads on here that say 3.3 ohm is the right resistors to get
I bought a zinc plating kit and did everything myself for my engine build/front end refresh, it's about £200 outlay but having got stuff plated for other projects and losing the will to live fishing through a bucket of fasteners to work out what went where I think it's worth it so you can keep...
Got my seat fitted today, it's much lower which is nice, but despite the seat being as far over to the centre of the car as it can be the steering wheel feels more off centre than with the stock seat, looking at the stock seat it is offset on the base so it's just something I'll have to live...
You can get an LED replacement from a place called Barthel auto solutions, I have one fitted to mine, however if the light isn't fitted it can't be tested so a strip of black electrical tape over it will be a pass too...
I wanted to fit the bucket seat this weekend but another job took priority.
When I was fitting the oil cooler I noticed the bottom corners of the radiator looked a bit wet, not willing to risk a failed rad leaving me at the side of the road I ordered a Nissens replacement. It was on offer with...
My aluminium arrived on Friday, so I've put the printed bits together and test fitted it
For anyone wanting to do the same you'll need:
2200mm 19mmx1.6mm round tube X2
800mm 19x19x1.6 square tube X2
600mm 19x19x1.6 square tube X8
280x280x3mm aluminium plate X4 (this is for the turning...
