When I took the car in to get the tyres swapped over I didn’t think to tell them not to overtighten the nuts. Anyway they may as well have welded them on it was so tight.
Frogjam to the rescue again and some fresh studs and nuts for peace of mind.
I’ve been chasing this wobble and turns out...
...Pure hanger kit and lines I picked up for half price from an abandoned project, a pair of free calipers I refurbed myself for £100, used spacers I think were £50ish, and RS Bimetallic discs which is the only thing I paid full whack for...£380! Ouch.

...belt and pulley done, gearbox rebuilt, front subframe replaced, Yellow Speed suspension, recent pads / discs, refurbed wheels and wheel spacers (not convinced I'd keep these). It seems like I could just buy this and book a track day immediately, which fits the bill.
Next up is to get it on a...
Over-tightening the studs can stretch and weaken them, so if you think that’s happened, it’s best to replace them, though I guess only you'd really know that for sure. Spray some brake cleaner into the hub to remove any crap. Then, apply some Loctite to the studs and tighten them to around 20...
Thought I’d give changing the pads a go today. But got stopped in my track by the wheel stud and spacer coming off instead of the bolt…
Managed to screw it back in but I’ll probably need to do it again with loctite. I’m guessing they should be replaced regardless? I also assume it’s a pig of a...
Yeah I’m figuring out where I think would be reasonable, given the fact it’s got a literal shed load of spares I’m thinking somewhere around £6k.
In the shed I’ve got
3 sets of wheels
Subframe
Rear axle
Refurbished (but used) brake claipers
4 xenon headlights (2 pretty much new)
Sports cat

Ciao Giacomo,
Just bought a 2012 Clio 3 RS and could use your spacer.
Did a track day yesterday and everything was great except the steering wheel ergonomics.
Plan to purchase one soon, great idea.
Website was down today, will take a gander next week.

I've started to see rust around the bottom of the rear arches now on some models. Usually ones that are fitted with from spacers that are renowned for stone chipping on the lower section of the rear quarter if untreated turn to rust bubbles. Also the base of the rear screen collects water and...
As above all 10mm are slip on, which is usually fine as you still have a small amount of centre bore for wheel to locate.
Stub axle spacer much better option on rear though
Morning... does anyone no where I can buy 10mm hubcentric spacers ?
I can find 15mm 25mm kits but under that all I can find is the 5mm shim style spacers which is a no no..
Ideally want a kit with bolts..
Thanks
...to take all the brake hardware off, clean it and regrease it, so while it's all off I could upgrade pads and discs, but then I could also fit spacers and a bigger brake kit. Does the wider track from the spacers make the handling worse for fast road use?
I've got some better condition silver...
New bearing pushed in, stubby polished, refitted with spacer, torqued 175nm, and road tested. All is good.
Also fitted a new set of bosch blades and Osram night breakers.
No pics - couldn’t be arsed 😆
me again with an update:
So I decided to finally machine some proper caliper brackets, and because I didn't want to hassle with drilling the calipers to make some "pms style" brackets for the 280mm discs that I have- I went to the 300mm disc route so I took the necessary measurements, made the...
So using this chart OSR is 0.16
NSR rear is 0.6 which is the collapsed bearing. So once i have replaced bearing and spacer all will be good.
f**k my head hurts. Needs to be on a hunter but i reckon all will be ok.
Well no spacer fitted to the side with wheel wobble.
Surprisingly when nipped back up with spacer it rotates nice and clean. Will change anyhow as it’s going to f**k itself it some point.
Otherside had spacer but fitted the wrong way around. Joy of joys.
Not the side with the fucked wheel bearing.
NS (fucked wheel bearing) -0.40 Toe
OS (spacer fitted wrong way around) +1.40 Toe.
Camber is bang on both sides.
Will do.
Probably clean it ip for now.
Doubt any of this will actually solve the alignment issue as it’s the other side and the spacer was present (although wrong way around).
Id imagine bearings be cheap shite in them. I fitted a mintex pair recently and they also had cheap bearings in. Main issue for premature fail is prob missing spacer or incorrectly torqued.
Absolute eyes out at £350. £110 in parts and an hr to fit on a lift.
Id replace with Snr or oem renault...
