Bearing issue that, can see caliper is not moving and wheel is in vid. Age old axle spacer issue and prob a cheap disc/bearing. Super easy to do yet so many get it wrong.

Not much else it can be really. Bearings shot or axel bushes. Given it’s the same (although not as bad) on both sides it’s probably shagged bearings. Unless i’m missing something?

Yeah coz leaving spacers off and shagging the bearings is the same as a bolt not torqued fully and picked up on test drive 😂 c**t 😂

I'd say that's more than just the spacers I've had cars before that haven't had the spacers and they weren't that bad

Not good is it. Either they haven't been torqued correctly or the spacers missing. Probably both.

Yes. You'd also see it if they weren't torqued to spec. You sure it has no shims?

This car had new rear discs fitted a few months ago by a random garage. If they haven’t fitted the spacers behind discs, would this create noticeable movement in the hub that would cause alignment to be out?

Updates. Noticed n/s rear brake pad had worn on the piss when getting tyres changed last week. Ive never touched the rear brakes on this and this was the first time the rear wheels have actually been off in my ownership - rear pad notch was not located in the piston cutout..rectified it before...

Hey Guys, I could do with bringing the steering wheel a bit closer to me. Anyone got any tried and tested solutions for this. I am currently running the Ktec/Momo Boss with a Sabelt RenaultSport Wheel.... BG ones are coming up online..... any specific one to look at?

Holy thread revival On a 1.2L I found 16" fine but a little harsh and heavier to steer (182 alloys), I run 15" now. I have 20mm spacers on the front and 10mm axle spacers on the rear. Everything clears the standard brakes, I have bigger Peugeot calipers and 1*2 discs on mine, plenty of room...

Aerokit spoiler/splitter and 15/12mm spacers.

I recently fitted some 12mm spacers to my E46. They came with 12mm longer bolts but the locking bolts were an additional 3 or 4mm longer still. One of the locking bolts did catch on something behind the hub so needed shaving down a little.

Not a Clio... but I'm about to purchase some 15mm spacers and have been told normal thread length is 25mm therefore I need 40mm. Place that has the best price on these insists on selling them with 45mm and says no option for 40mm. I could buy separately of course, but cheaper to get altogether...

Ugh you're probably right, but it looks so cool! I wonder if anyone does 5mm axle spacers... Wheels are second hand, i was trying to find the et stamped on the rim but failed. Looks like they come in et25 amd et35 based on the team dynamics website. I dont think theyre et25 surely.

Assume et is low ish on the wheels? I would remove the 10mm spacers to save tyre to arch interface.

I completely forgot to check! I'm quite annoyed with myself. Will check in next week and update! I'm more worried about the wheel to the rear quarter at the moment! I guess I could max out the shock stiffness and raise the ride height. Or just remove the 10mm axle spacers.

Hmm, well hopefully the amount ive done it so far hasnt done any damage to the other wheel bearing. I have put the shafts back in now, and i can confirm once torqued up the play in the new wheel bearing has completely disappered. Also new wheels got delivered today! So on they went, and...

Lots of work going into this! Just read it from the beginning. Don't stop posting on here regardless of the lack of replies. People do read, they just like if they have no input. Regarding your questions, 1. Yes, they'll feel better once torqued up. It's a pretty monumental torque figure too...

...i may just sand this off and paint them rather than look at new shock absorbers. Very pleased with the overall result. Also fitted some spacers and stud conversion kit. A coupe of take aways: Had a wheel bearing changed but it still feels like it has play - are these the kind of wheel...

...but on test drive there is a knocking from the rear. They think the issue is the top mounts but can’t resolve it. Is there supposed to be spacers for the BC coilovers? As you can see from the pictures they sent there’s a difference in the size and design of the standard vs BC top mounts...
