...so removing it and the gear box oil pours out. Have heard this can happen when jacking the car up too.
As for engine mounts, I had a Vibratechnics solid mount in my old Ph1. It was ok, but the rest of the car was a bit harsh with the suspension set up and lack of interior. My current Ph1 I...

I've searched high and low on here and on Google, but I can't find a link to a febi dogbone mount. I've lots of stuff about vibratechnics etc.... But I just want the dogbone.
Has anybody got a link?

...which has crushed into the mount when tightnened up. Oem usually have a massive washer under the nut to spread the load when torqued, but the problem is im sure its a different thread to the vibratechnics mount. I fitted a large heavy duty washer under the nut when fitting mine and had no issues.
Thanks for that mate.
Yeah I've got a Powerflex black series dogbone in already, but will do as you've done and fit the vibratechnics mounts.
Definitely can't make it any worse lol
I've had the same and that's with vibratechnic uprated engine and gearbox mounts plus powerflex dogbone mount.
No idea why it happens, maybe too stiff at a guess 🤔
Vibratechnics stuff is great. I’ve used it on Vag stuff mainly and it’s always been awesome.
I tried 2 different brand engine mounts on my current Leon and both were crap so went VT mounts 👌🏻
...the track control arms and pop the bushes and balljoints out. 20ton press and knotted wheel on the grinder made short work of this.

Hi,
I'm having a hard time getting the PMS sump plate to fit.
It's fitted now with extra spacers, but it seems my engine hangs lower than it should.
Anybody know what the clearance between the subframe and the sump should be?

...meaning to get a uprated lower gearbox mount for a while. Had a look on ebay last week and with a voucher I had 20% off so ordered a vibratechnics one. Got round to fitting it today and did not realise how much movement there is in the standard one! Got it fitted and will see how it is on...
Race car maybe but I don’t see the benefit for road and track days?
Maybe I’m just more sensitive to the noises & vibrations but it just goes right through me, made me reluctant to even Rev the car.

I’ve got vibratechnic engine and gearbox mounts and they’re brilliant [emoji108] along with pms solid top mounts and everything polybushed - it’s extremely solid lol

Today fitted magnecors, spare coil, fresh plugs (ones that came out were grim) a vibratechnics top engine mount and a walbro 255lph pump (had a non sport pump fitted bizarrely)
Made it worse. Much worse. Joy.
If your handy with the spanners then i would change back to the originals just to confirm all is normal.
I get a louder whine on deceleration just with the powerflex dogbone.
...Thanks Jon.
Thanks Pez!
I try and keep it updated and with all things thats done to it, positive or negative.
The bushes aren't that stiff. We'll not enough to put me off. They are stiffer and feels good though.
Thanks. Engine mount is a Vibratechnics mount, just the plate has been...

...to fit this prior to eating so my brain wasnt working ! 😂
This is how i left it sunday , forgot to fit manifold so had to then slide it in !
I coudnt get the upper gearbox mount line up with the holes with the vibratechnics mount but figured it out when i got home and had something to eat !
...worth mentioning are the bms shifter now has brass bushes, the whole car runs black series powerflex bushes. The engine mounts are vibratechnics and have a polybush dogbone mount.
The cup racer roof scoop was sold as couldnt bring my self to drill a hole in the roof 😂

Push the box a bit more mate and see if you get any issues. See if it brings back any confidence in the shift itself. Sometimes when the engine and box are mounted solid, they can feel strange - I didn’t like how mine felt on the pms shifter compared to the yanoo tbf. Can’t explain why either...
