...so removing it and the gear box oil pours out. Have heard this can happen when jacking the car up too. As for engine mounts, I had a Vibratechnics solid mount in my old Ph1. It was ok, but the rest of the car was a bit harsh with the suspension set up and lack of interior. My current Ph1 I...

    Febi dogbone mount?

I've searched high and low on here and on Google, but I can't find a link to a febi dogbone mount. I've lots of stuff about vibratechnics etc.... But I just want the dogbone. Has anybody got a link?

To Poly bush or not poly bush?

It's these. The yellow insert on the standard mount and the Evol dogbone.

To Poly bush or not poly bush?

If it's these then they're near identical to Vibratechnics.

To Poly bush or not poly bush?

The Powerflex upper engine mount OSF and a poly dogbone mount. Either Evol Engineering's complete mount or Powerflex inserts.

Totally agree with that. Going to make a washer when I fit a new piece. As said above, the Evol is a better design.

...which has crushed into the mount when tightnened up. Oem usually have a massive washer under the nut to spread the load when torqued, but the problem is im sure its a different thread to the vibratechnics mount. I fitted a large heavy duty washer under the nut when fitting mine and had no issues.

Clio 172 turbo - downpipe hitting subframe

Thanks for that mate. Yeah I've got a Powerflex black series dogbone in already, but will do as you've done and fit the vibratechnics mounts. Definitely can't make it any worse lol

Popping out of gear under hard braking on track

I've had the same and that's with vibratechnic uprated engine and gearbox mounts plus powerflex dogbone mount. No idea why it happens, maybe too stiff at a guess 🤔

Vibratechnics stuff is great. I’ve used it on Vag stuff mainly and it’s always been awesome. I tried 2 different brand engine mounts on my current Leon and both were crap so went VT mounts 👌🏻

    Do Vibratechnics lower the engine?

Hi, I'm having a hard time getting the PMS sump plate to fit. It's fitted now with extra spacers, but it seems my engine hangs lower than it should. Anybody know what the clearance between the subframe and the sump should be?

What have you done to your car today ???

Race car maybe but I don’t see the benefit for road and track days? Maybe I’m just more sensitive to the noises & vibrations but it just goes right through me, made me reluctant to even Rev the car. I drove my mate’s 182 the other day which is on the deck on coil overs but it felt so much...

Today fitted magnecors, spare coil, fresh plugs (ones that came out were grim) a vibratechnics top engine mount and a walbro 255lph pump (had a non sport pump fitted bizarrely) Made it worse. Much worse. Joy.

Poor gear selection - PMS shifter

Push the box a bit more mate and see if you get any issues. See if it brings back any confidence in the shift itself. Sometimes when the engine and box are mounted solid, they can feel strange - I didn’t like how mine felt on the pms shifter compared to the yanoo tbf. Can’t explain why either...
