...the same braking zone, which was bumpy, and it was wet, so my ABS got activated as well.
Since I'm to cheap to spend a fortune on some Vibratechnics, let alone the PMS engine mounts, I looked at alternatives, which I found, thanks to this thread...
Old vs new I would say there is maybe slightly less vibration at idle but this may improve as the bush beds in.
My car has vibratechnics engine/ gearbox mount so that wont be helping but in the past I've found its the dogbone that transmits the most sound to the cabin.
...this up last week , plan is to keep it close to standard and have it as a road/track car.
Justnow it has a few mods
Piper exhaust
Vibratechnics solid engine mount
Powerflex dogbone mount
Powerflex rear beam bushes
Uprated filter
Snappy wheel
Uprated disks and fast road pads
Hel braided...
I fitted Vibratechnics mounts and Powerflex black dog bone bushes to my road car, because I'm an idiot :ROFLMAO: To be fair, I didn't drive it daily, so I quite liked that it felt so extreme.
This looks like a nice solution, surprised you haven't had more interest.

Either redrill your original front engine mount to fit f4r or use 1.7 front engine mount, should bolt straight on. Use stock gearbox mounts, well use vibratechnics or similar as the original rubbers are too soft
I’ve literally been contemplating going back to stock passenger seat and then a bucket seat for the drivers side and selling my trendlines this afternoon lol. Just think it would add further to the car but then again mines now a daily. I’m also scared of marking the trendlines. Lol.
In my mind I fancy a proper drivers seat, a PMS shifter and Vibratechnic mounts. Just to get the feel and control of the car as it is now. As to be honets, as it is, its pretty sweet in terms of ride/handling. Some reduced body roll would be nice, but not sure I can achieve that without going to...
My daily 182.
Vibratechnics mounts.
Powerflex dog bone (soon to be changed to std).
Goodyear asymmetric tyres.
Eibach springs on std cup shocks.
Quick shift.
Stiffshift.
Scorpion exhaust system.
Braided hoses
Ferodo DS pads.
Not the quickest or the best at everything, but a great...
That's pretty much a perfect spec once you've fitted the new parts. I would hesitate on the vibratechnic mounts as they do make the car vibrate a bit.
What about getting an induction kit for a bit more engine noise.
...Snappy steering wheel
Alpine headunit
Since buying the car back I've bought the following new genuine Renault parts:
New Cup dampers
New topmounts
New lower arms
New inner & outer track rod ends
Full ARB bush kit
New dogbone mount
Tempted by Vibratechnics and a PMS shifter... but not sure yet.
...cup was the best fast road/track compromise. It had the following:
Kw v2 coilovers & Ast top mounts (no adverse nvh from top mounts)
Vibratechnics engine and box mounts (a bit of feedback through the wheel)
Standard dogbone with the bush turned 180 degrees to reduce movement without...
Still got this, it's almost ready to go for whoever buys it as have got a replacement lined up and waiting

I had the rattle on hard acceleration on mine initially in 2nd gear, was highly annoying. The selector rod was catching the subframe slightly with engine movement, so get underneath, slip it in the gear thats causing issue and check clearances. Adjusted it and fitted vibratechnics mounts, job done.

Vibratechnics top engine/gearbox mounts are sound for road use, when fitted properly/broken in. I have a purple powerflex lower dog bone fitted with the vibratechnics, hardly any vibration or engine movement(y)
I’ve only had vibratechnics ones and they were fine once you’ve done say a thousand miles with them. A bit unpleasant for that early stage but in my opinion it’s worth it.
The consensus on the forum is that the PMS would be too hard for the road. Not come to a conclusion on the vibratechnics/Ktec options? Should I consider another brand?
...So that was the brakes sorted, then the gearbox, new clutch and a carbon shaft for the PMS shifter all went back together along with a Vibratechnics gearbox mount to go with the upper engine mount that's been on for a while.. When I picked up the car I've got to say the vibrations from the...
