Ignore anyone that says replace with standard new engine mounts. OEM/Pattern/dogbone are all a sack of s**t.
Do it properly, get Vibratechnics mounts.
By far and away the best thing I did to my Cup.
Certainly will matey. It's likely going to be something at the weekend as it's difficult to get time off work before September :'(
I should really write this update later when the car is running but my energy to finish the job is low this morning so I'd rather sit here while the mcdonalds...
..."fatty" induction, TTV flywheel, rear interior stripped out fully and sabelt wheel.....solid top mounts, pure Motorsport strut brace, vibratechnics engine mount. Still have VT gearbox mount....whiteline arb, some polybushes, 20mm spacers, ds1.11s+HC discs and ozf1s to fit this week...
Literally days before Anglesey I found my front brake pads were knackered lol. My own fault for just assuming they were ok.
So it was a rush job to find replacements, fortunately I did but I had to use CL RC5+s instead, turns out they're nearly on par with the RS14s but £100 cheaper so I'll...
Not mine, but looking to buy. Could you tell me what I should be paying?

PMS are a bit pricey so I think either of the above sound good....dare I say it but ktec seem to do their stickered up vibratechnics cheaper than I've seen anywhere else!
Thinking about treating the track car to new engine mounts, any experiences of what's best to go for....purely a track car.
Vibratechnics or PMS I guess are the main options?
It's about time for an update me thinks. I haven't been down to the car since the MOT debacle as it's about 75 miles from where I've moved to now which is a shame as I'm desperate to do some work on the car before track day season is really upon us. I have been stock piling parts in the corner...
Hi all,
Didnt want to create a thread but cant seem to get an answer elsewhere. Bought this a while ago and foolishly removed the cable tie that held the pieces together.
Can someone please confirm if this is the correct order and that the washers are the correct way round.
Thought I'd post a vid of a lap of Phillip Island in my 172, just in case anyone was wondering what it would be like in their Clio :tonguewink:
Running AD08Rs on Turinis, koni yellows/sportlines, camber bolts, solid topmounts, ktec/vibratechnic engine mounts, DS2500 front pads/Motul RBF600...
...i started to unravel its past and exisiting modifactions
*So removed the filter to find a KnN pannel filter
*When doing that i found vibratechnics engine mounts
* scorpian back box
* when doing the brakes found out it has H&R lowering springs!
When i bought the car the guy mentioned it...

It'll do a few trackdays yeah, its not the reason though. One currently on is old and worn, I like the extra stiffness that uprated mounts give, but I don't want to put solid mounts on like the vibratechnics
I get a whining noise from my box since fitting vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts along with an evol (black/race) dog bone mount. Not sure if this is down to the mounts or not (hoping it is). As far as vibrations go it really isn't that bad. I did have a Powerflex dog bone fitted but it...
Surely this isnt a true statement though!?
I want to change mine, but they have been on the car since new for the past 10 years so standard can not be that bad can they.
I've heard some folk say that then as many say to stick with original due to excess vibration. I'm trying to cure the issues I'm having with the short shift kit I have.
Standard engine mounts, whether they're Renault, Pattern, or whatever; are all s**t. Some of the worst I've ever experienced.
Vibratechnics/KTEC are the only way to go.
Mines the same I've just discovered. Is this a common failure like exhaust hangers, or just age related? It's a track car so unsure whether to go for a new mount and powerflex insert, or skip straight to vibratechnics if its going to be a recurring problem?

Get Vibratechnics, (when fitted properly) at idle you notice a tiny bit of a difference. When you're 'on it' you'll wonder why on earth you didn't fit them sooner.
