Turns out I got a brand new CSL DD wheel base as the serial number is completely different to the unit I'd registered previously and sent back to them.
To say that they replaced it FOC when the warranty expired back in March of last year, is pretty impressive. More so, it's only been 6 days...
Just nabbed Unfinished Business for £6 off Loaded.
Looking forward to working my way through it - see if I can collect 100% achievements like in the first game.
So, Fanatec wouldn't offer a replacement outer cover when I contacted them. What I found to be a bit strange is that it's simply connected with four bolts - the locator hole for one of the bolts being at the upper centre of the pic above.
They have however, offered an RMA service - to which I...
I would.
I didn't buy it until 5 years after release and went for the game and the Phantom Liberty expansion at the same time. For me personally, I gelled with it much more easily than the Witcher 3 and for a while, it was the only game I played on the PC.
I'd say that my only teething gripe...
Looking forward to this one. Usually a conflict that tends to get overlooked for the most part - the transition period between prop and jet making it very unique.

Should do - one of the best daily features of Win11 - just tapping Print Screen, screen dims and then drag a window over what you want to dump to Clipboard.
Race car - super car type of thing. Behaved completely different on the three road surfaces the loop covered, which was great. But on super smooth tarmac, the anchors were doing hardly anything.
It felt exactly like that moment that we've all experienced in real life where the brakes are too...
Started one of the challenges last night - outer loop timed and didn't do particularly well first time out, as expected. The car I had appeared to have zero concept of braking - abnormally so. No sense of slowing down going into a corner, almost like from a sim perspective that it had a flat...
Speak with Alex, tell him what's wrong and see when he can fit you in. Get a flatbed booked - get it transported it to him. Await Alex to tell you what's wrong and from there, see how far you want to go.
I'd be considering a full engine rebuild at this point - depending upon what he finds...
Lambda sensors are often overlooked when trying to isolate running issues. I'd thrown the parts cannon at mine in trying to resolve a very lumpy/almost stalling idle and everything helped a bit, but didn't solve the issue completely.
When I had both sensors replaced - the problem immediately...
Yeah, I don't adjust the seat much at all. I might even leave the passenger side as is as that's usually empty and just sort the driver's side out.
The potential for water ingress does concern me somewhat though.
Loved it on Wreckfest 1 where they had multiplayer races against members of the dev team. That person would be in a school bus and race around the circuit in the opposite direction. Utter chaos!
Definitely a marked improvement over the first one. As you mention, its very clear which car models they are basing the content on.
Nothing better than having a small tap with an opposing car that sends in slamming into a pile-up. :P
It was £568 from Amazon. Seems to be a very good spec - without heading into the £800+ pricing territory of some high-end Dell screens.
I'd always prefer to have a single, decent monitor, than spreading it out over smaller, multiple ones. For gaming anyway, though for work stuff - I do prefer...
I think it depends on the flexibility of the game in question.
I played Company of Heroes 2 from 2013 and Stellaris from 2016 and both natively support 4K from the game options. I did fire up a few other tests and at 1440, there was a black border around the edge - but only on the loading...
New monitor setup this weekend.
Yep, QD-OLED is certainly impressive - probably on par with the last 'wow' moment I had with monitors when I tried GSYNC for the first time about 8 years back.
As expected, some of the more recent games look great - but I was equally impressed with some of the...
I waited five months for my induction kit.
Phoned up the main number (who said KTEC were part of larger group now?) and went straight to their finance team.
Got a really helpful person on the line and I just said I wanted my money back. They confirmed my order number with me over the phone and...
