Interesting you mention it, I have a Group N tool but had never looked into to what degree's it was exactly. Bought it years ago and though I'd be aswell hold onto it
One other point for clios is don't forget the interior.
Remove the rear door cards and you can clean out / treat the rear quarters as they can rot from the inside out. I scraped off all the loose rust, hoovered it out as its awkward for access and then sprayed the s**t out of it with Bilt Hamber...
If your going to do it, I would do it right. I've previously done my own 4x4's etc. Struggle to find companies doing it properly nowadays as no one is willing to pay for all the prep as there is guys out there throwing some underseal on for £250. Proper job on a decent sized motor your looking...
Up in the North East of Scotland so would need to borrow / post but rather just get one made. I have the standard renault tool so surely anyone decent with CAD should be able to produce a drawing and then rotate the exhaust by 8 deg and then pass this onto a CNC machinist. I will try Kevin...
Injectors can cause a misfire, ones Iv had go the misfire is there all the time so was easier to diagnose by disconnecting one at a time and seeing if engine changed. If no change then that was the culprit.
Maybe a bit harder for you if it isnt there all the time.
Other way to check them is with...
Does anyone know the actual degrees for 421 timing on the exhaust cam and is it advance or r****d? As Id be looking to get a tool made up for my 438's for when the time comes
I don't think there is that much of a difference in sound when just replacing the filter element, only gain over a paper filter is lifespan and probably slightly better airflow. And the fact it can be reused / cleaned
I had a mate install mine as I was away from home at the time and short on time before an event but I don't recall him mentioning there was much to it. Think it was just a case of lob off the plug and install crimps to suit the terminals on the fan plug
Im away from home and only have a close up...
Well for anyone that comes across my previous posts about rpm signal, make sure your not as daft as me.
Looked at ecu pin 55 (tacho out) to check the connection & trace back. No pin 55. Pin 70 on the ph1 needs moved to 55 but id obviously moved it elsewhere. Checked 55, 56 etc and all as were...
Nearly a month on, gave up with chasing ktec for the software licence. Emailed Gems direct and within the hour I had the correct software emailed over. Few emails back and forth to sort out the licence due to an IT issue their end but all solved with no drama's and got connected to the ecu ok...
Thanks, Iv chased them again. They were quick to respond to emails within the hour before I bought the software & cable and since the £250 purchase its 6 days between emails. I made sure to make this known to them. I wasn't sure if the licence was now incorporated within the cable or something...
Looking for some help from those of you familiar with the Gen90 ECU and the conundrum of trying to connect to it.
Purchased the ecu 2nd hand, installed into my Ph1 after the pin swap and car starts & runs. Purchased a cable and software licence from ktec, received jist a cable and no dongle...
Another thanks to @NorthloopCup & @barnesautos as just used the info above to repin a gen90 for my Ph1 with no drama's and also the additional info for the fuel pump pin swap also.
I was an idiot though and didnt realise until half way through that I reswapped a few pins rather than use the...
Does anyone know the part number from 197 injectors?
My jenvey bodies came with a jenvey fuel rail and apparently 197 injectors that have been flow tested. 2 of the injectors have 255/05 etched on them 2 have 235/05. Bit wary of running them if unknown and mismatched
Iv got both sets of halfords, the orange 2T ones and also some black ones with the 'ratchet' function.
Much prefer the pad on the orange ones and sits fine on the clio chassis rails. Apart from my integra dc2 that had front and rear central jack points, the clio is one of the best. Plenty space...
I have the sealey premier ones. Angled head & reversible. Also had good support from Sealey on replacing defective parts under warranty with no quibble and posted out no problem with both these and also impact hex bits. All broken through my fault.
Im sure their available cheaper via other...
Cheers, I'll have to get a suitable laptop to get it loaded onto as only got a macbook atm.
It was already mapped by chris @ efi when it was in the previous car however have since added cams. Plan was just to get it running and then trailer it to a local mapper to get it setup properly. I didn't...
Ecu powers up and fan starts and then stops.
Blue power light is on alongwith General 1 (red) and Tx flashing yellow on both serial in & out
What software is needed to read the adaptronics ecu? Haven't been into it to check anything
Just installed wiring loom and adaptronics ecu for running ITB's.
Car cranks but won't fire, fuel pump isn't priming on ignition or when cranking as all fuel lines are bone dry.
Immobiliser light goes out after a few seconds
Engine bay fuses & relays have been checked & cleaned
Fuel pump...
Perfect, cheers for the info. I had ordered one of these months ago, yet to delve into the footwell as cars hard against the garage wall just now until I move it for access so unsure if its suitable.
I already have the jenvey cable with suitable nipple so will use these alongwith what you...
What setup is everyone using for a throttle cable when running ITB's?
I have a Ph1 so cable throttle already however id rather fit a readily available cable so I ordered a Jenvey cable. Also got a few linkage's so hopefully can mount it to the pedal ok. Does it need to run in the standard...
Much better trying to get the seal tool for anyone wanting to do it, yes you can use a piece of coke bottle etc to help it onto the shaft but the most important part of the tool is that it sets the depth correctly.
Was that a megane oil pump you installed or just the clio dci one? I recently installed a dci one from PMS on my ph1 172 and didnt notice any clearance issues.
The halford's ones are identical to Norbar ones, and as said above try get one on trade card or join the motoring club and try get a money off voucher.
I have the below halfords ones and covers most things from engine components to wheel bolts. They do a range of 4, I went for 2nd lowest & 2nd...
Top mounts was another sore point with our regs, as some were running solid top mounts such as PMS with their strut brace and that was a no no aswell.
I proper 4 wheel laser alignment geo setup will do it the world of good aswell when you get your B14's on.
I would also consider fitting cup...
