Bought new wheels for the S1, i’ve no idea about detailing but would like to seal the wheels with something, what would be best? Cheers folks!

I’ve only had two quotes so far, first was JBS in Derby for £2100 (that was a full uprated clutch kit & software) the second was from MRC in Manchester, for the same work £1800. I’ll probably go to them in all honesty. Ecotune are a mile from my house but they are robbing b******s.

i really considered the TT-RS before getting the S1 due to the fact its the only way you’ll get a manual gearbox mated to that 5 cylinder engine, fuel economy fucked it though.

Some of the VAG group wheels are fkin horrendous.

Had i not bought the S1 i’d have bought another Golf R in moonstone grey/3 door and put them on it, lowered with spacers would have been mega!

Easily sorter my guy - very popular upgrade is the LED bulbs, they keep the same beam pattern more or less with the way they’re housed. Had i realised how much money i’d made from selling my house i’d have f**king kept mine now. :( @Jason_E

If memory serves my mate turned it off with carista? I always forgot to turn it off, drove me mental! Weirdly its not anywhere near as intrusive in the S1 however that’ll be getting turned off when i get a chance to have it plugged in!

The start/stop feature allegedly eats the batteries, bloody dear as well. For anyone going for a Golf R/Cupra/S3 i’d have the start stop coded out, the AGM battery replacement is expensive and can’t imagine the start stop is actually doing any good to the rest of the running gear. Used to hate...

I’d try disconnecting the battery for half an hour

I recall the Corsa used to have the GSi badge on the bumper, i gather thats not standard on the Astra?

Always had a soft spot for the Astra GSi - i’ve seen this one before and it appears to be absolutely immaculate. Also clocked a 550 Maranello, apologies for the poor picture, i believe these have shot up in value recently, never seen a black one before, absolutely stunning cars.
