From my patchy knowledge, you couldn't get a Ph1 172 with a sunroof, at least not in the UK. There was a Flame Red one knocking around a few years ago that someone had bodged a sunroof into from a non-sport.

If you go look at @YorkshireKyle 's thread on his Monaco 172, there's plenty of pictures on there of him taking his gearbox out the bottom of the car. Only issue with taking it out the bottom is that the subframe bolts can seize, snap or spin in place, especially on the Ph1's as they're older...

Would probably need to see a video of this to get an idea of what's going on. How old is your aux belt tensioner, they're prone to failing and binding up.

I think I'm right in saying that the aluminium bonnets only came on the first year of production cars, which were all silver. Once they started introducing more colours, they switched to the heavier bonnet style. So unfortunately, you'll have to find a silver one and have it repainted.

Quite a lot of the single player customisation is locked behind the ultimate edition, such as a couple of the car mod shops, tattoo shop and barber. For the sake of £20 I'd just buy it if you want to experience everything.

Quick follow up on my post from the other week. Just got the car back from the body shop, the roof is looking a 1000x better. Here's the before: And the after: All in was £300 (inc VAT). Pretty happy with that!

Well what started off as 9 cars coming to the Ph1 meet, ended up being 3! But it was still great to be able to park alongside another Ph1, they're getting really rare now.

Of the 79 Black Ph1's I've found so far, 55 of them have managed over 100,000 miles, which is pretty good considering the abuse they get!

It did really well to be fair! Of all the black Phase 1's I've found so far, yours had done the second highest mileage! Only Y584 PAU managed to beat you, with a very healthy 212,492 (last MOT'd 16/8/24).

Nice one, I do have it down! Made it to 164k, hasn't been MOT'd since 2021 sadly. It must've been registered in the same place as my car, given the matching DTV plates.

It's definitely popped up on Marketplace before too but I won't be able to find them now.

I'm sure this has been for sale so many times in the last few years, I'd be interested to see how many owners it has now.

Is it a cup packed car, or an actual cup? I always assumed the 182 cups came with the plainer (worse) seats, like they did in a 172 cup or a Campus.
