Maybe you have mixed up the retangular clips??
Try swapping them over??
I have the same Headunit but my Amp wont work through it...
Got it going before but never since :(
Ok, I have the same headunit !!
Although i Didnt have this problem... To Release it, you have to slowly pop off the fascia surround, which is fiddly, but will come off with a good tug...
Then there are two clips, this is wat is holding in the Headunit, to the cage. You have to wedge these out...
Hmmn No Luck so far, got exams all week so will re-do it all after then...
Cant wait lol, may just skip some revising... :)
Cheers for the help guys :)
Yeah you can switch it on and off, but its on, should it be on before its attatched?? or off??
I have connected it to the Sub pre - out, but nothing :(
Really starting to Annoy me... :(
Cheers, Sam
I just went down to wilco and bought some that matched, got some paper and rubbed off the original, then it sprayed perfectly, but make sure to use laquer after if not it wil just scratch off really easily...
Also using laquer will allow you to clean it...
Yeah i have drilled a hole in the chasis and riveted the earth in, just behind the rear seats.
Can you fuse still go even if the amp has power??
There is an LED on the amp which comes on, but nothing comes out of it...
Sub moves nicely, and tested it on another amp which is my mates and it...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Just push the gromit out with a screw driver and push through the wire, i have and its the easiest way, took 2 secs!!!
Wanna pic tmoz when its light?? Pm me :P
Cheers, Sam
Just got my new Amp...
Alpine - MRV-T222
But it wont play my Sub through it...
Its only a 10" alpine S type, and i got it going for about 20mins, then turned the car off and it hasnt played since...
Didnt even have the sub loud then :(
Headunit is a Alpine - CDA-9855R, and wont play...
Looks Nice, I've just done mine in Silver - Looks Awesome, i also had the Decals made up to go over so i did the Gearknob insert too, Will post some pics if someone can remind me ... Pm if they also want pics and where to get the decals, got some spare :)
Cheers, Sam
Amp is way over priced and you dont need to go that powerful..
The human ears can only tolerate 280w before going Deff...
Get a 250w amp like the alpine MRV-T222 like i have now purchased, sounds awesome and really good value for money, never excedded the volume either...
Sam
Im in the same boat, except im the only one who drives my car, as he has a company car, which pays for fuel insurance tax the lot.
I pay for the insurance and its in my dads name.
Quote of £886 per year, the car is also in his name.
Is this illegal??
Cheers, Sam
I was gonna convert my standard ones, do a bit of DIY...
This doesnt count as a Mod to Insurance does it??
Middo, PM me if steve changes his mind :)
Cheers, Sam

Actually wanted to really insult the owner who had the car for sale...
Ok, I have had to do this about 4 times now...
The Remote lead is a blue one, quite light, and can have a white stripe.
This usually goes into the adpater which is wired to the car from the headunit.
PULL THIS OUT!!
It wont affect the car or head unit in anyway...
This then must be...
