Top, top work, thanking you.
I was under the impression these were an NLA special but they're on that site which I somehow hadn't come across before.
My washer pipes keep popping off the nozzles as well so will buy a length of that too.
Thought I updated this thread but clearly not. Maybe a bit more to this bloody clip than initially thought, got this back from Renomotive-
best bet would be trying to get someone to 3D print something as the clip is not designed to be pulled out from the face. Pretty much single use...
Cheers I'll try the screw first on the other side.
The kit mentioned further back actually had better clips that were an appropriate size so I'll stick the same in that side.
Yeah, this must have been the worst pop rivets ever fitted to one of these.
There's no way it was popping out. Levered it from all angles then just had to destroy it with a sharp screwdriver. Still needed a good pull with pliers to get the centre bit out, pain in the c**t.
Now replaced with...
Well mine are somehow fucked because it rounded before turning much at all. One was already rounded by someone else so I took care with this one and the material was so soft.
Ok thanks I'll try under the trim and good shout on that kit danke.
I don't know if it's a Clio/French thing but I do not have this sort of nonsense problem on any other cars with plastic rivets. 😵💫
Not sure what on earth is going on here or how much of a moron I'm being- how do you remove these rivets?
They have a philips head that rounded before they'd turn much and they don't want to pop up at all.
My driver's side tubing keeps popping off the nozzle (this is surprisingly infuriating) and I think the rubber is a bit too slack.
Can anyone recommend a source for replacement rubber tubing that works well to save me forking out a relative fortune on this Renault stuff please?-...
I couldn't see much in the way of these on here so can anyone recommend any?
Got in touch with Renbreakers but have had no reply.
I'm only needing one of the small plastic retaining clips that fit into the underside of the bonnet, holding the washer tubes in place.
My Clio Trophy came out the garage yesterday after having sat since November, pleased to say the engine is running sweet as a nut but the orange 'SERV', ABS and traction control lights are all lit up.
I've left my bloody icarsoft in the Jag which is away getting fixed so any ideas what the...
My Trophy has just failed its MOT because this heat shield is missing. Can anyone confirm the part number this will be and any possible sources please?
'Fuel tank exhaust shield missing where fitted as original equipment creating a risk of fire (6.1.3 (e))'
I had already checked the fuel rail guard and there's no movement in it.
Very hard to determine exactly where it's coming from whether I listen at the engine bay or on the ground to the side of the car.
On it potentially being a heat shield- would it be normal for when this occurs to change...
Also, I had most of the front suspension replaced and steering rack bushes changed so the subframe was dropped. Hopefully it might be a heat shield as has been suggested on the Clio Trophy forum.
Picked the car up yesterday after getting the timing belt and a load of work done and there's an obvious rattle coming from it now, almost sounds like something's loose to me-
That sound like anything in particular to anyone's ears? I noticed something within about 10 mins of driving away...
I've just bought these for my Trophy (https://k-tecracing.com/products/aftermarket-heavy-duty-clio-2-rs-lower-arms?variant=43236198678767) and I see the description includes the comment 'Suitable for fitment to all Clio 2 RS 172 and 182 models including 172 Phase 1 as an upgrade for extra...
Those long nuts are as much use as tits on a fish the way they come from new-
https://cliosport.net/threads/top-mounts.849564/
Bought the lot only to end up sticking with the old set up.
Think that looks to be a refurbished version of the same one as opposed to brand new-
I'd also read a few things about people saying to go brand new over a refurbished unit to guarantee no issues. Looking at the price differential I think I would.
What’s the current consensus on replacement? The Renault part is out of stock with RPD but googling has led me to believe VALEO 439302 is the only one I’d want to go for which autodoc have-
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/valeo/1081040
Is that accurate or is there anything else I should know?
Reviving this...has anybody tried aftermarket options with any success?
Autodoc list a few options-
