Removing pollen filter cover rivets

Car  Clio Trophy
Not sure what on earth is going on here or how much of a moron I'm being- how do you remove these rivets?

They have a philips head that rounded before they'd turn much and they don't want to pop up at all.

That little screw can be levered out with a small flathead screwdriver. Meanwhile get some trim removal tools like this with a load of fasteners so if you break them you can put some fresh ones in.

The amount I’ve broke is tons so this little kit is a life saver.

Ok thanks I'll try under the trim and good shout on that kit danke.

I don't know if it's a Clio/French thing but I do not have this sort of nonsense problem on any other cars with plastic rivets. 😵‍💫

that screw takes no effort to remove. You just unwind it with the lightest of touches whilst keeping the collar still.

Also as mine was all chewed up too I heated up a Philips screwdriver to re melt the cross.

Well mine are somehow fucked because it rounded before turning much at all. One was already rounded by someone else so I took care with this one and the material was so soft.
