Can’t remember how many litres exactly I added. I just went until it was high enough to drip out of the inlet at the front. Need to get a good look around the underside just to see just what’s going on.
Hi,
182 gearbox rebuilt, new seals everywhere, topped up with oil and refitted.
But the box is weeping gearbox oil from somewhere higher up where it joins to the block. I’m wondering did I overfill it or is there a seal nipped? - anyone with experience able to throw some light on this?
Please...
Cheers, I’ve a mate that has a fastener company locally - so If I don’t have something in my toolbox I can source from him, but I do appreciate both the response and the offer. Thanks 👍
Thanks for the replies lads. I was thinking that if I just got a large washer (or 2) and cut it square using a dremel, place it into the void and then place another large circular washer and nyloc nut on. Would that sound mad?
Folks, recently bought a LHS and RHS pair of vibra technics finest. But there seems to be a issue with the rhs one. The original mount (3rd photo) has a bolt with a square shoulder that locates into the engine top mount. The vibra technics just ha a regular bolt and if you take a look at the 2nd...
I’ve taken on to do the very same, 197/200 brembos under OZ Superleggara 15’s.
I ordered 280mm brackets from Nick in PMS and he sent me a diagram where 1mm needs to be machined off the callipers face that meets the bracket and the to enlarge the holes where the original bolts go. I’m going to...
Ok, maybe I should rephrase the question- What gearbox’s, from which Kangoos (or other models) are compatible with clio 182’s?
On my box I’ve a damaged casing - I have loads of new internals and I want to swap everything incl. seals and bearings over.
Into my local renault dealers to see if I could source this ... they haven’t a clue. The mechanics and the lad in parts were probably still in nappies when my car was built!
Can anyone get me the part no’s? Please
Hi,
Can seem to find an answer to this ...
My Clio 182 gearbox, drivers side out pit has a seal and behind the seal is a 50mm nut with a collapsable shoulder and a shim holding in a taper roller bearing.
I’ve tried reusing the nut - but keeps working loose.
Can anyone tell me the part number...
Right. Sincere thanks to all who contributed and for the solid advise you’ve given.
Looks like I will be adding my 197 cams and group N timing tool to that overloaded shelf of surplus parts in my garage.🙄
That’s kinda the bit I don’t understand. ED used to offer a turbo kit for the 197/200 before everyone started going the meglio route. So, why won’t it work in a 172 block?🤷♂️
I was going to buy the ED 280 kit , but apparently the piggyback ecu has been discontinued. So ED offered a modded 230 kit modded for lower compression which would yoeld. 260.
Really, I’d like 280.
My 172 engine rebuild as follows:
Forged 9.5 or 8.5 - 1 pistons and rods(depending on availability)
lightened flywheel,
paddle clutch,
ported head and inlet.
ED turbo kit
PMS race exhaust - no cat.
....and here is my question.
I’ve bought 197 cams and a gpN 8degree advance timing tool...
Can anyone answer definitively if the r27r clutch is different to that of a regular r26? Would anyone know the part number?
Not getting much help from our local Renault dealer.
Would anyone recommend a particular upgraded item?
In the interests of keeping the thread short and to the point- I...
