172 engine gone tats up - help!
I was out tonight giving the clio a bit of shoe and all of a sudden the power really dropped of and the engine started making a strange noise - almost like something was rubbing. I pulled over and the engine was struggling to idle. I knocked it off and restarted it but it was only just idling...- red_whippet

172 miss fire?
Help My 172 is being a b*tch. While setting off from standing the engine keeps miss firing, just once or maybe twice then it runs clean. The same thing happens when you floor the throttle at low revs (less than 2k) a quick miss then all is ok. It used to do it once a blue moon but as late its...- red_whippet
