I've owned a 197 in the past, but like you both say they may "feel" planted due to the wider footprint and seem to be more sturdy on long higher speed bends. mine was just a standard 197 with H&R springs and a few other bits and bobs, so what coilovers would you guys recommend? I've heard good...
Hi all, i know this is an odd question, but drove my sisters 200 cup the other day. It feels literally GLUED to the road, just feels so stiff, with zero body roll. My question is can i make my 182 feel the same at all? I've read into PMS Top mounts/brace and Rear ARB but a lot seem to say that...
Hey all, I'm just wondering if any of you guys run dash cams? My 182 seems to be acquiring a lot of scratches recently and was wondering what's the best dash cam to catch something if someone was keying it on purpose? Ideally I'd like a cig lighter power one but unsure what is best to get...
Thank you :) that's my plan to keep it clean and comfortable for daily but also have a few choice mods, it really does drive like new now. Want to make it a well maintained example not so race car or ASBO haha :)
Another update, been a busy week, with he cars MOT looming i knew my brakes were running low, so i ordered new rear OEM discs and pads along with front Brembo discs and pads and some Dot 4 new fluid from George at road, track, race parts.
The car had a Ktr/Janspeed super sports exhaust fitted...
Just a small update, removed the tints today while it was dry and gave her a wash, along with a coat of wax:
few more bits to come as the dreaded MOT is dawning :O
December
This month turned out to be a very expensive month, the car had a awful noise which sounded like the water pump so with the belts being changed in 2012 with only the cam belt being done nothing to say the water pump was done. So i ordered Cambelt, Water pump, Depasher and aux kit and...
November
now by this time the Turini's had arrived, to my delight the new owner of my black gold had removed the Cooksport springs i put on it for Coilovers.
So i make him an offer and went to pick them up, so as the shocks had probably never been touched i ordered new shocks all round and new...
The next week
So, as JCS has mentioned (thanks James) you can kind of guess where the thread is going. anyway so painted the wing mirror the previous night.
The the next day i set to remove the stripes. after three hours fun i finally managed to remove them went to the local Halfords for a...
I gave it a thrash tonight it pulls to 6k then slowly gets to 6.5k then pulls a bit more to 7k? I've got a pure motorsport racing system on tomorrow so will report back if it cures it I was thinking a clogged fuel filter but reading up on it they're In the pump the car had been sat for 18...
Hi all, my 182 will rev to 6k fine but after that it almost as if it's ran out of go, my old 182 used to pull harder after 5k timing belt dephaser have been done last month by a specialist thinking maybe a lack of fueling? Thanks in advance
It's actually wrapped, still haven't got round to peeling it off! This was back in October but I'm going to be updating the thread every few days to catch up for lost time! Alot to go through haha
The Next week
Now on the way home after a short while the car developed a miss fire, so after nursing the car home i set to find the problem. first thing first was a service. so i booked the car in with a local garage after ordering Oil, Filter, Plugs from Paul at Renault Parts direct. (who is...
Hi all, first let me introduce myself. I'm Sean, 20 from sunny Cornwall. Now that's out the way here we have my first project thread, this is my 3rd Clio Sport, i first started with a black gold 182 FF, then sold it for a Nimbus 197 after having that a while and not really getting on with it...
Hi all, I've recently returned to the 182 scene from a 197, anyway when I change up sometimes (more so when rushing the gearbox) I get a slight grind, not a crunch, it feels as if the gearstick isn't quite aligned with the box if that make sense? Any help appreciated
