I normally jack on the sill then put the axle stands on the chassis rail, otherwise I can't seem to get the stand in next to the jack :(

Yeah as above I've heard very bad things about using radweld or any kind of radiator sealent.

If you widetrack the front I got a feeling it would rub, but standard 16v will be ok. Bias valve can be adjusted if it makes 2 much difference.

Hence why nearly all companys offering luxury cars always state a finance deal with an end balloon payment, why throw £100k into a car when you could invest it and easily offset any extra interest on the car.

Looking for a company to insure a 1986 bentley turbo up to an agreed value of around £40-£50K, used as a show car so technically business use. Having problems as a lot of insurers won't touch it as its business Cheers -Sam

Apparently you can't wash 197's either as the paintwork has the same issue as the tyres!

Not at all. Most people drop the subframe on the passenger side and remove the box through the wheel arch. Can be quite long winded, took me and a mate a day to do it before (never changed a box before) but if you're fairly competant and dont encounter many problems should be able to do it...

For widetrack u need: Williams or renault 19 16v wishbones Williams shocks (can use williams or 16v springs) Williams driveshafts (can use a renault 19 16v driveshaft but only the passenger side one, drivers side must be williams) Williams or renault 19 16v ARB+mountings

Can get a valver box of ebay for well under £100, pot luck though. Got one for £70 start of last year and its lasted so far, but thats with slow gear changes and minimal abuse.
