Big thumbs up for a-line. Currently sat in the workshop being shown everything about tracking. They're really knowledgable, and looks like I'll get -2 on the camber
Before adjustment the steering wheel wasn't straight, So when the steering wheel was straightened one wheel was toe out by 30-40 minutes and the other toe in 30-40 minutes. I think they set the camber at this point to max which was -1.5. They they changed the toe, and obviously didn't re-try the...
And the plot thickens.....
Just been told in the politest manner to f**k off from ebt in worcester. After the manager ask me to come back, but wasn't there
One guy said the camber bolts were turned as far as possible, then they made the toe adjustment. He said they won't go any further for neg...
Yeh I think it's laziness, when I called they said they'd look again next weekend. Most of the front end is relatively new, including the tie rods so hopefully there isn't anything else wrong.
It was miles out before tho..... haha I'll blame that for my spins at Mallory park two weekends ago...

Just took my car for an alignment, asked for -2 camber and 5minutes toe out and got what's said on the print out. the guy said he could only get -1.5 Camber, but that reduced when he put in the toe settings. Now I'm confused cos I've paid £60 and have hardly any camber. Should he have kept on...
Once my ecu was sorted this was a five minute job with an rstuner. So get 2nd hand rstuner off here, change the airbag ecu to not read faulty/missing sensors, then flog the rs tuner. This way when you turn on the car airbag lights up as normal and shuts off to say the system is ok
Hmm bit jealous of your short trip. I've got nearly two hours, think I'll be packing ear protectors.
Not sure on our plan yet so might see you on route :) better be good weather !!
Yup first time I disengaged all of them and it had a right paddy. I've disengaged only those missing now but there are two code which won't delete from history. Doesn't bother me really now the lights off. Plus I've locked any existing bags just incase I get over ambitious next weekend lol
That's a massive different compared to mine also looks like the lower section has been extended. I Definitely went the right way but only by a little bit. Might be ok for me I have orangutan arms
Will be good to see yours working. When you say linkage rod do you mean from the gearstick to gear box?
SORTED
Got a new air bag ecu of eBay for £15. Plugged in the rstuner and fixed within a minute.
So boll*cks to not being able to remove warnings if the seat/wheel are already removed. I've still got two warnings which I can't remove but there not present so the airbag light goes out as it...
Soooo......
I gave the shaft a little bend today (gear stick that is ), haven't fitted to the car yet but it was easy enough to bend. Stick the top half in a vice with a screw through the hole to keep straight. There was a slight bend in mine already roughly where the reverse lifter wire...
Hmm it definitely isn't doing the job it should :/ shame I'd have got a proper remap if I hadn't bought this but seemed good value
Oh well sh*t happens. Thinking of taking off the dash tomorrow to pull the airbag light has anyone done this and does it work?? I know the serv light will stay on...
Just what I thought??? Only reason I went for a RStuner is cos I'm a lazy bugger and couldn't be bother to fit resistors or take the bulb out.
On that note has anyone ever just removed the LED? Might be my only option at the moment
Ok got an update from Henk at rstuner.
He says that even if the ecu was replaced I will not be able to turn off the light.
From what he says all sensors must have no faults for me to be able to disable the airbags via rstuner. Ie all the hardware must be installed to disable air bags. Seeing...
Thanks I'll try get one tomorrow, all I can get is this at the moment as I put it back together earlier.
I'm I being dumb or are all phase 2 172 the same??
