Just found somehting from the old car and wanted to get it to him in case he did
Regy plate as SL03 SNF
piccies :
best advice - loose the 6x9s
buy some serious guage wire 2 or 0 for pref if you are running 2 amps and upgrade all earth wires to the alternator, battery and also the alternator live,
there is a well known grommet where the bonnet cable relase goes throug the car - use that but you will...
are you trying to work out a maximum box width by any chance?? :)
I had the full dimensions for a 172 boot and posted them up here over 2 years ago - buggered if I can find them.
surely someone can help ?
you can get a lot of head unit for £250
look at Alpine units if you want flashy and new or if you want high quality without fancy looks Nakamachi or Becker, 2nd hand market is bubbling right now.
nah its about hte recommended size - my old DLS MW12s only need 1cu ft but athen aghain a massive port!
Will sound loverly - espeically if you can stretch to making the box out of birch ply as opposed to 18mm MDF.
looks a pretty decent alpine unit - most of the higher end ones require you to run a new live to the battery as they have a large current draw - easy enough to do - just run it through the bonnet release cable grommit. If you canb use some 8 guage with a fuse a couple of inches from the battery...
untrue! Fli used some of the VIBE staff on a consultancy basis allowing them to build cheap subs for the chav market.
VIBE top end stuff is v good, however some of the cheap stuff is well cheap.
Back to original post - what size wiring did you use in the first place?
happened to my MG 0 the timing belt slipped but bent 4 valves However it was a 6 month old car - AA man came and thought it was an engine management issue!
Thankfully mg paid for it

your ankle does not sound good - I think that the first crash was caused by some sort of issue with the front tyre as it just seem to slip from underneath you for no reason, think there is problems there
p.s. wonder if you could sue;)
few of us headed to Glentress to do some mountain biking trails today and here are the piccies
The tyre is ally's - he ended up on the deck as that happened while he was moving, not long after he had crocked his ankle falling off!
