So I sold my racing blue 182 to the apprentice at work. Which I pretty much got to the spec I wanted but fancied a change at spur of the moment and decided to sell the Clio.
So the original idea was to get a clio 200 cup in either red or liquid yellow. But all the ones I looked at had knackered...
It will be pointless to have it added on. I have seen these type of products fail within 6 weeks from application.
Your Mum would be better paying the money to a detailer for a new car prep to be done on the Audi. It might cost more than the £400 mark but it will be done right.
Find a detailer...
That’s what I was thinking. Getting a call from the sales manager tomorrow. Worst case I’ll bid on it through the auction site at work when it goes back in.
Looked at this 200 yesterday. Had Clio sport stickers in the window. I know it was at BCA car auction earlier in the week.
It’s got a crunch in 4th gear so we are renegotiating the price massively.
Hi
Been thinking of changing my clio for a while now. Whilst I love it I’m thinking do I get something else. It always puts a smile on my face. It got dyno’d at 200bhp. It’s got all the mods I wanted it to have like cams, sm inlet, lightweight flywheel, bilsteins b14, turini wheels, Recaro...
Send the turbo to A.R turbo engineering. Alan and Rob are great. They can test it and repair. We use them at work they always come back spot on. You will be surprised on the cost of it.
As noothloop said the oil pressure will take up any slack. There should be a very small amount of play.
But if...
It's normally the idlers which fail before the belt in my experience. I personally never just change the belt. Whilst you are there you may as well do it right.
SJM would be my choice. He did my rb 182 with cams and a SM inlet. He is spot on. Wouldn't trust my car with anyone else. If I can't do it myself or needs a special tool then it goes to @Dan@SJM
My Clio produced 200bhp after dan had mapped it.
So it's been a little while since I updated this. I have been really busy with work but I have managed to do a few bits.
First up was I brought some bilsteins b14's so got them fitted on Thursday. Also fitted a new oil catch tank. Courtesy of @RMDavis. It all fitted spot on. Going to have to...
Well the car has been back to Dan at SJM just to check the air fuel ratio on the map after the running in procedure.
I have to say it's always a pleasure to deal with Dan. I'm a technician by trade and do pretty much everything myself but Dan is the only guy I trust with my Clio apart from me...
My old engine in my 182 only ever smoked blue smoke under higher revs. In the end it was consuming a litre of oil for every 50 miles. If you drove it normally then you wouldn't know it was burning oil. Have you been monitoring the oil level.
