Burpspeed at Oulton. May bank holiday

I thought they looked quicker laps than that with your gearing and lines, I thought you did well to get through knickerbrook on the 1st lap with cold tyres, I wasn't so lucky in one race

    Weld in seat rails

We cut into the tunnel to get the seat lower. Used the 2 fixings on the tunnel to mount on inside and standard seat rail on the outside on the cage.

    Battery relocation help

Yes it's lithium, cars still getting built but had one on my last car and it worked well. Very light, just keep it on charge with a correct charger. I've forgotten the part number and I'm away at the moment. It's about 580 crank and 13/14 amp running

    Poly Windows

Thanks, I asked if there was a green option but was told no. They don't look too tinted so like you I think grey will work, thanks.

    Poly Windows

I'm getting some polycarb windows but can't find any decent pictures of the tinted kits (bronze or grey). I'm swaying to grey but want to make sure it doesn't look crap with a green tinted front screen (heated). Just to say I haven't ordered the front screen yet so I'm not sure how green they...

    Clio Cup Racer

Daimon you can see our build on Facebook, page, Team88 Motorsport , it's mostly b****cks and we are total amateurs, just trying to keep notes and pictures of the build. It's taking a bit of time as we have work commitments.

    Clio Cup Racer

Hi Daimon, I was looking for rear discs and some other bits for the sadev box. I've think I've sorted the box issues, although we've yet to test it but I've been told there's no chance to source the rear discs and we will need to convert when the ones we have wear out. We wanted some other trims...

Anyone used SW motorsport (Leyland) for roll cages?

Just not the easiest to get hold of, which is frustrating. Mine took ages to complete but got there in the end

    Booked my ARDS

I think the only way you can fail is if you don't pass the medical or spin when driving. Easy day unless you had a load of drugs at the weekend

Learning car limits/how to drive the bloody thing!!!!

You will get more time with just 2 cars. When I 1st got there I thought there wasn't much track but its more focused on cornering speed and techniques, Andy is a really good instructor and he can pedal. The Cat driver training can't be that far, it's a few quid but loads of different areas of...

Learning car limits/how to drive the bloody thing!!!!

Car limits is a good day if you go on the 4 car max. Andy knows his stuff and with your tyres over inflated he soon gets you past the limit... By the end of the day your driving skills will have improved no end. CAT driver training is also a good day.

Anyone used SW motorsport (Leyland) for roll cages?

Shaun has a Facebook page if you want to see photos of work. He's just put a cage in for me and it took longer than expected.... I think he has started booking stuff in properly as he was getting a few complaints about timescales. If you want an off the shelf cage then I'm sure you will be ok. I...

    ST75 Sadev question

Yes but for a cable pedal box and rear facing cylinders on a floor mount its either OBP or compbrake and I would prefer Tilton or AP. The general view is change to hydraulic, if possible..

    ST75 Sadev question

To get away and changing down, you don't have to but you would need deep pockets for constant gearbox servicing and rebuilding. Better pedal boxes if it can be changed.

    ST75 Sadev question

I wondered if anyone knows of anyone who has converted a sadev from cable to hydraulic operation. I searched the forum but was unable to find anything. I spoke to SWR and they are not aware of anyone who has done it but I have seen a hillclimb car in Poland that had a hydraulic pedal box...

    Tyre pressures

Good tyres, there's not many people who give it full beans in their road car on track, IMO, 30 front 32 rear hot will be a good base pressure, just check the pressure when you come in and knock them down. You will be surprised how the temp goes up, even on a cold day. Have fun and keep it on the...

    Tyre pressures

Try 26/28 front 30 rears Also depends on tyres your using. In fiestas we used to have fronts lower and rears higher 22/24 - 32/40 depending on conditions
