I have got a rear ARB to fit to my 182. I was thinking of just getting it on some ramps, undoing the dampers, fitting the ARB and compressing the dampers back to line up, bolt in and do it all up nice and tight.
Any issues with this way?
Need a CAT quickly for my MOT. Is the cheapo one on ECP/CP4L and good? It's made by React. Or I've heard people mention Klarius, any good?
If not, what should I get? I think mine is OEM, so knackered. So this new one is probably to keep on it. I don't want to spend money on a sport CAT either...
My plan was to replace the belt, tensioner and idler (all new genuine Renault parts). I'll also check everything spins freely.
Not sure how the belt slacking off would cause problems to the internals of pumps etc.
My fan belt recently started to squeak, and I'd lost power steering, belt was slack, so ordered a new tensioner & belt. Started with the job and instantly noticed the alternator was loose, the pics speak for themselves, but I've lost both mount bolts for the alternator, and the supporting...

Bloody thing! A mate 'fixed' this, got it setup nicely and we even done a track day with it. The bush finally came out (held in by cable ties though). So Saturdays track day it was lose and has melted my exhaust. This is with the powerflex bushes too!

I thought this was fixed! I've now got powerflex dog bone, vibratech top engine mount and gearbox engine mount, 2 new OEM exhaust brackets and the b*****d is still popping out!
I struggle to see how the powerflex ones are going to help keep the mounting arm IN the hole without anything on the...
The centre nut in my gearbox mount (vibra) I've just fitted, just rotates. The torque guide says to do it to 62NM, so I put a wrench on it and it just turns. All other bolts done as the guide, so everything is tight.

My alarm keeps randomly going off. All windows & doors shut. Last night it happened in heavy rain. Is there anything I can do to test?
Only way to lock it for now seems to use the 'lock doors' switch inside and then lock my passenger door (only door with external lock).
How/where do I start...
This is annoying. It's still happening after I changed the engine top mount to a Vibra Technics. I can barely move the engine (compared to it moving +/- 2cm before).
I have the Vibra Technics gearbox mount too, but wondering if that'll make it even more rattly.
