Yeah, it's effectively designed as a fitness watch which you can wear to track your swimming performance. It's pretty cool, put it on water mode before jumping in the pool and then, once finished, you spin the crown and it plays a series of notes which forces any remaining water out of the...
I went and tried a few on. It looked and felt stupid, and made me feel stupid having it on my wrist.
Went and bought a nice new Seiko for half the price. Then looked at my phone for anything I might have got my 'watch' to do.
I'll get one in a few years, once they have a genuine purpose whilst...
Hi all,
Not been around these parts for a while...
I'm trying to plan a nice weekend away with the wife for our anniversary and I'd quite like to tie in the hiring of one of her "dream" cars - either a Porsche 911 (964) or Lotus Elise. However, there seems to be a real shortage of sports car...
Ahh c'mon guys, at least we can play predictive word roulette now:
The new version of this month in which the company has to be the same thing to me that I have a good idea but the only way to the point of view is numberwang!
Ok, I typed that last word myself. [emoji20]
lol, that's the way to do it! I've one more bloke that seems set on coming down from London this week to take it away so if that goes cold then I'll readvertise and give the price a re-think.
Part of me is now thinking 'f**k it, should have just taken what he was offering' but I'm not going to drop an asking price by over 10% without the guy even having a look. If it's overpriced it isn't massively so (£3,750 on AutoTrader).
Yeah maybe, I priced it based on others available and it doesn't seem too far off the mark? It was more a case of the guy arranging a viewing, fully aware of the asking price, but it seems I wasn't prepared to drop the price by 10% without him even viewing it...
f**king timewasters do my head in! Arrange a viewing only to call before coming to try and knock me down on price because some jobs 'might' need doing... it's a 10 year old car FFS.
If you're genuinely interested mate then search with the postcode EX5 5PT on AutoTrader. Had a few calls with people planning to view over the weekend but nothing solid yet.
Damn straight! You don't 'need' an estate to own a Touring BMW, it just looks better. ;)
If it makes you feel better, drive around with some patio furniture in the back, or borrow someone's dog.
They're brilliant cars, so practical but great fun when you boot it. Takes a little while to get used to the auto box but once you learn how to control it with the throttle it's very responsive.
Shame it's just a bit too much to run unfortunately and, to be fair, the missus doesn't give it the...
Cheers :) it's actually Orient Blue but is a nice dark shade when cleaned up and cloudy!
Selling as it's the wife's runaround but her job is changing next week so will be doing a few more miles every week... becomes a bit uneconomical to run and don't really want to let it get battered!
Conscious that I've not put up any photos of my car, which is now for sale, so thought I'd better before it goes!
Gave it a bit of a scrub ready to sell - a quick decontamination followed by Blackhole and Tough Coat:

Phones4U have had this coming for a while to be honest, a business built on pressure-selling and customer dissatisfaction. I don't know the story, not am I inclined to research it, but I wouldn't be surprised if mobile phone networks decided not to supply them anymore.
There need to be a few lukewarm iterations of these designs in order for the World to start adopting technology into modern living.
So whilst this Apple Watch may not be a great seller, the potential it can eventually unlock is huge. As Apple set the standard and make sure everyone else...
The wife's phone suffers from sudden switch off with plenty of battery life available, looks like it's eligible. Good find.
My 5S is pretty good on battery tbh. Casual use on 3G / GPRS ([emoji35]) all day and always come home with >50%. Secret is a dimly lit screen I'm sure.
I've just bought that towel and it seems very good. I'm used to much bigger towels but it's very absorbent and soft. Definitely wash before you use it though!
Yeah, massage some fairy liquid into it with hot water. Rinse thoroughly and leave to air dry. Important to do as they disintegrate very quickly if left with product on them.
If it's waxed then there's no point in applying SRP again, that will just be going back to the beginning.
Just give it a wash, dry and then apply another layer or two of wax.
I think it's Fabric Clean that I use as my go-to stain remover for anything in my house, including carpet.
It's great stuff but very strong. I'd say for general cleaning you want to heavily dilute it.
