Sorry for taking so long to reply again
I have been running the wiring to the head unit and everything seems fine, but
i cant help worrying about it now after what Dom has said. I dont know what to do now.
How would I wire it to the fuse box if I went down that route?? I'm not sure the cable...
Yeah I'll just leave it as it is then, it's got and inline fuse so if it starts poping that I'll have a re think. I know you would normally connect to te battery for amps/subs but hopefully this will do the job with alot less hassle
Ok so what I have done is wrong??
Why has kenwood supplied that type of connector On the end of the power cable if it's meant to go to the battery?? I know I don't know a great deal about it but surely if they supply a connector that fits into the headunit wiring loom (and it works) then that...
Yeah it's an underseat sub there pretty good it fits under the drivers seat perfectly. I havnt set it up properly yet but first impressions are it's pretty damn good for what it is. I'll post more when I've sorted it tomorrow.
Thanks for everyone's help to get it up and running, it's actually...
Oh ok cool that sounds like a better option. This is my wiring loom.
I'll scotch lock it to the yellow wire?? Now I know what I need to do I'll start running the wires etc.
Thanks for all you help everyone I'll let you know how it goes
Yeah there's a yellow wire On the head unit wiring loom (connecting head unit to car wiring) bur not a spare one. Am I meant to strip it back and just attach it??
Now I'm confused lol. I couldn't see anywhere on the back of the head unit that I could connect it to. There was a red wire that looks like it has a blank but I didn't want to connect it up and hope for the best.
I'm in halfords getting a connector so I can connect to the battery, but if...
Hopefully someone can help me with this
I have a Kenwood head unit and have bought a Kenwood active sub to give the car some base, I'm just having a bit of a problem understanding the instructions that come with it as far as wiring goes. These are the wires i have.
Now i know how to...
Thanks for all your help, i ended up taking the bumper and the headlight off (thanks for the guide fubar).
When it was off i worked out how to fix it, unscrewing the white knob tightened up the inside of the light (thanks Burns0)
Put it all back together and both my lights are the...
I need to remove/ fix the passenger side headlight on my 182. I had a bit of a bumo in it and now the inside part of the light has dropped and points more at the ground than it should. I was going to take it off and try to fix it or replace it if needed but I cant work out how to get the damn...
thanks for the help
im gonna get a mate to check i actually do need rear discs as the car is only 2 1/2 years old and done 24000miles so i would have expected them to last abit longer than that
Ive just had a service on my 182 and Renault have said i need to replace my front and rear discs and pads. Fronts arnt a problem as ive already got uprated parts ready to go on (which a couple of my mates are fitting). What i wanted to know was if changing rear discs and pads is a DIY job or if...
